Lucas Podolski showed how confident he really is by tormenting his former team . It is not easy for any player to play against his former team where he is worshipped and produce such a masterclass display . That prove the level of his confidence and professionalism . He will surely be without mercy against any team he has no connection with . Cologne is his team and he loves it . But he has certainly moved on . EPL teams beware of this new merciless ''killer '' .

A team is labelled ''Pub team '' when they lose against a better team . What about a strong Chelsea team losing against Brighton ? What about Southend upsetting Man U ?
A victory is always a victory no matter what team you play . Has Cologne beat Arsenal who could have been happy and say it was just a defeat against a pub team ? We could have said this season will be very bad instead .

They're probably equal to a mid table side in the prem so not a bad test for us.

Second half was like us last season, first half was like us 10 years ago. Makes you wonder if the regulars will struggle to get game time.

all of the midfield depth we suddenly have hopefully gets some of the free riders off their arses and actually playing properly.
