Pardiola might go flat out 4-4-2, which would be a bit dim. Rooney could easily drop-in to make up any deficit in midfield.

It'll be interesting to see which of Kagawa or Rooney gets put on the wing (granted, they'll be switching around). Either way, though, I can imagine that they won't quite make the contribution a third midfielder would. We'll see. Hopefully, several manyoo players will contract Ebola at some point.

Well it's true that I was thinking in terms of what I'd do rather than what the old soak tanked up on whiskey might do.

He has named a strong starting XII with Webb's inclusion though.

i know it was overturned, but im pretty sure they banned dida for diving/playacting. is there no rule to charge them with then?

McNamara That Ghost...
07-10-2012, 08:53 PM
I don't know. Maybe because the Dida one didn't involve on-field in-play action, well, not with other players anyway.

The Dida one was a while ago though so looking back for precedents probably isn't the best way to go.

Well we saw Bendtner got in trouble at the Euro's, so i guess its how bad Uefa think the offence is.

They could not ban Eduardo as it was clear more people would dive and they look like mugs if they did not ban them all.

I think punishment on dives has too many grey areas to enforce properly, therefore I'd say the best thing to do would be change how fouls can be committed. Also, more specificlly for pelanties to have a bit more of a specfic requirement than just being fouled anywhere in the area.

It should be down to the manager to stop diving. Maybe a points deduction needs to be introduced. So any players who dive loose points for their club and that way managers will make sure they don't.

Pretty much.

So much will be made of Suarez's dive (which, tbf I'm not going to defend) but I bet nothing will be said of Huth's rake/stamp on his chest, or the 2 dozen "reducers" on pretty much all of our players.

I don't think he dived as such. Sometimes you anticipate the tackle and the contact, even if you don't actually get caught - I've done it myself before. One of the indicators as to whether someone is deliberately trying to con the ref is if the player looks to the ref and Bale never did or appealed from what I saw.....

Come on, we all know he's anticipating contact

Bale didnt appeal and wasn't he looking for a foul. I think some on here would rather he broke both his legs than move out of the way from dangerous tackles.

Bale did not "dive." He expected the goalie to clatter him.

No further action for Van Persie, Huth or Tiote.

Ludicrous.

not particually shocked that no action taken because hes a united player but i cant understand it. you can elbow a player in the face but its fine.

maybe cashley had it right after all

Problem is when someone elbows a utd player like this, then they too must get away with it or the fa wil look more stupid then they do.

The assistant saw it (he was only about 10 yards away) but deemed it accidental.

I could understand it if he just said he didn't like Suarez, but there is no way that could have been accidental.

It was def deliberate, it was Bergkamp'esque just not as subtle.

Suarez should just say 'fuck em' and carry on diving to piss people off. When people start going mental he should just show his stud marks on his chest.

I think it's brilliant a smaller club got a decision off a bigger one.

Colin Murray must be The Son Of Pulis. Every week he praises them, no matter the result or the crimes against football and individual players they commit on the pitch. With cretins like him being the face/voice of football coverage in this country, there's no hope. One slight against Stoke and we get mass coverage of complaint letters, cap-dominated whinging and repeated replays of someone doing a tribe of trolls a wrong deed.

Fair football coverage would offer up Whitehead diving last season against Arsenal with no-one near him. They'd show replays of Crouch's many handballs and constant climbing on defenders despite being the offspring of a giraffe and an Ent. Most of all, they'd show the procession of cynical and dangerous challenges which the scumball team commit in every game, which probably outnumber the combined fouls committed by the rest of the teams in the League over a whole season.

Pandering to the agenda of a cancerous individual who is probably the worst person on Earth after Chris de Burgh rather than showing up how he is in fact a bigger cheat than any fancy, skilful, foreign Africa-denier shows where their twisted priorities lie. It will be fun seeing She-Ra and Hansen damning De Jong at the next World Cup while sagely advising England to play more like Brazil.

Nothing wrong with football coverage in this country.

Pulis what a hypocritical peice of scum. Hope Stoke get relegated i really do. And those twats lilke Colin Murray who make excuses for Stoke and Pubis need to piss off.

At Least Durham even if he is a ****, can see right through Pubis and his team of Rugby ****s.

Oh and Garth Crooks  Stick to what you know fella.
