A mate sent me a text saying Piers Morgan was on the radio saying he wanted this.

Obviously he's a kent. A dirty stinking deceitful kent.

And that's just 'Arry.

So how desperate are you, what would your reaction be if this took place?

Total Meltdown

I know we all want change, but Harry?

Kroenke vs Redknapp would be interesting. Who could shovel money out of the club fastest? The all consuming intergalactic leech versus the ducking and diving, bobbing and weaving used car salesman. And if we think we have shit in the team now it would be nothing compared to the crap Arry would bring in.

I'd disconnect myself from the club in every way if such an unlikely event were to happen. From being caught by the spuds to actually becoming the spuds, that would be too much.

Morgan obviously isn't a genuine fan.

he could probably achieve a fourth place which would mean the same old, same old.

the defence would be the shambles it usually is and given the way his teams collapse at the end of the season, it would all be very familiar territory.

But if you think this then you are no better than the board. They see football in functional terms as a matter of finances. Anyone who would want Redknapp here because they imagine he would deliver results is viewing football in a similarly functional fashion where only the results are of relevance. The rivalries, history, emotion, tribalism, all of that becomes meaningless under such terms. There is no club if Redknapp comes here. Only a commercial vehicle that generates revenue through a soulless, culturally devoid and mechanical parody of sport and competition. Redknapp here would kill everything Arsenal is supposed to be about from a fan's perspective, another nail in the coffin after RvC's sellout. It started with Ashley Cole and hasn't stopped since. How much of the club will be sacrificed so that plastic pratts like Morgan can get their champagne jollies. Fuck him. Tie him around Redknapp's ankles, let him kiss that crook's arse and then chuck them off a bridge.

zimm always moans about having to listen to bullshit from wenger and how wengers teams are a bunch of bottlers.

lets look at redknapps team last year, in august ambition was to get top four, then to finish above arsenal, then to win the league, then to finish above arsenal, then to finish top four.

well thats a lot of bullshit there, more so then wenger.

lets look at the character of his side, last year they opened up a 13 point gap over us, wenger who you claim is no good at motivating his side, no leaders on the pitch etc, overhauled those 13 points and left redknapp behind.

and thats the man you want to replace wenger as he is a better manager?

Özim
13-11-2012, 11:57 AM
Wanting to progress isn't BS, it's ambition to be honest. Settling for 4th place however is a losers mentality, I'd rather have a manager who's aim is to win everything in sight than one like Wenger who basically sells out and is more than happy with 4th place every season.

Let's be honest here, over time Wenger and his team have been proved to be the biggest bottlers around, it's happpened for 7 years straight, it's not even a competition on that score. To add insult to injury the bottler hasn't even tried to address the issues which to us mere mortals are plain as day, no characters, no leaders...maybe he doesn't want anyone to question his bad judgment

Let's be honest here, over time Wenger and his team have been proved to be the biggest bottlers around, it's happpened for 7 years straight, it's not even a competition on that score.

so you argue redknapp just saying we are going for the title is ambition. right so wenger said that this week, going by your logic, wenger is ambitious. or is it one rule for one and one for wenger

Not really no, Wenger makes excuses about how he can't compete due to money etc and then harps on about 4th place being a major trophy and being a great achievement etc etc

He talks the talk but he never goes out and does anything in the transfer market, he's had more transfer market f*ckups than anyone, the guy loses players and then pretends the two signings he's made more than make up for the 3 world class players he's sold.....he's so deluded it's untrue.

zimm always moans about having to listen to bullshit from wenger and how wengers teams are a bunch of bottlers.

lets look at redknapps team last year, in august ambition was to get top four, then to finish above arsenal, then to win the league, then to finish above arsenal, then to finish top four.

well thats a lot of bullshit there, more so then wenger.

lets look at the character of his side, last year they opened up a 13 point gap over us, wenger who you claim is no good at motivating his side, no leaders on the pitch etc, overhauled those 13 points and left redknapp behind.

and thats the man you want to replace wenger as he is a better manager?

Are you suprised this is the guy who was happy Chelsea won the CL last season so he could come on here and gloat about it.

And who's sole aim on here to bash Wenger on herenothing else.

A mushroom cloud is pretty fucking impressive too until your bollocks rot and your hair falls out. Redknapp is the destroyer of clubs, a crook, an ex-spud and and all round piece of shit who has achieved next to nothing and is massively hyped by the tossers in the media. Which means it's not success for the club you are looking for, it's just a personal campaign against Wenger you are pushing. End of the day Chelsea deserved plenty of credit for winning it, noone gave them a hope and they came through and beat the best....Di Matteo did in half a season what Wenger has been unable to do in 15 seasons...not bad.

Not gloating just stating fact, but yeah I'm jealous of Chelsea, they get to sign top players, they win trophies and have won Europe's biggest competition. Redknapp is all about Redknapp. The fake pledges of loyalty, the dodgy transfers designed purely to stuff his bank account, the short termism that has left so many clubs in the shitter, the constant media whoring, the backstabbing when he doesn't get his way, it's all about Redknapp and every single club he's been at I'm sure would testify to this rather obvious reality. Staying at a club for 20 years doesn't mean you give a toss about the fans my friend, look at Wenger he doesn't listen to anything they are concerned about, he just doesn't care whatever anyone might say, he gets his cut and can do whatever he wants that what matters to him.

Managers move on when they get an offer from a bigger club, that's the way of the world until they reach a club who fulfills their ambition or they've achieved everything they want to achieve, don't have a problem with that....I do have a problem with someone sticking around for the money and being feeding me patronising BS though.

His actions in the transfer market at least are indicative of someone trying to improve the club (even if it doesn't always work), fact is in his last season the club were clearly massively affected by the outside influences, we should thank him though as thanks to him we luckily ended up with 4th place.

'Arry gets a percentage of every transfer fee! It's not altruism that fuels his recruitment of the same players at every club he goes to.

It's not thanks to him we finished fourth (mainly because we finished third) but if we didn't win games at the same time we wouldn't have been there.

That's how fans behave. If we lose then the ref cheated, obviously. If we get knocked out of the cup then fine, we didn't want to be in it anyway. If somebody leaves the club he was no good in the first place. Football is great because you are expected to be 100% biased, that's the whole point. Do me a favour.....you lose 5-1 to your arch rivals and it's OK? You really have lost the plot if you think that, it's never ok to lose to them and definitely not ok to get thumped by them.....in fact any thumping for us is unacceptable.

I'm rather different to you, in the past I might have thought about players leaving as who cares, but now I see it how it is, the club and manager are screwing us over, selling off our biggest assets...and that's not the players fault....they've got nothing to stay for.

Why would you want to stay in a place that offers you nothing? Let me be clear on this as well, I've never happy when we sell a top player, it's another sign we're small time and going nowhere....I was to see us building a team not taking it apart for financial gain.

Funny you say that because when they thumped us in the CC I was one of those that was angry whereas most people wrote it off as a "mickey mouse cup game"...it never is against Spurs.

Redknapp however is a manager and I don't associate him with Spurs, he managed them but that was in the past (Graham did the same). I'm disillusioned now and the importance of football isn't quite where it was to me 10 years ago that's all.

Don

Then we thumped them the next season in it and im sure some of their fans were happy and some did not care. Even not the other day i heard a spud fan calling it the worthless cup.

Heck gooners have been saying it for ages not just on here on Phone ins etc. No one on here cared about the CC only in the last few years its been a big issue.

I think it's the primary concern of the club to be successful again, success brings, more money, more fans, more merchandising and more prestige....the benefits are countless. I don't believe the current people in charge have the clubs interests at heart.

As a fan you want your club to be the best it can be, seeing them choosing off the field finances instead of football is sickening.

I walk a lonely road, the only one that I have ever known, don't know where it goes but it's home to me and I walk alone.
A winter's day
In a deep and dark December;
I am alone,
Gazing from my window to the streets below
On a freshly fallen silent shroud of snow.
I am a rock,
I am an island.

I've built walls,
A fortress deep and mighty,
That none may penetrate.
I have no need of friendship; friendship causes pain.
It's laughter and it's loving I disdain.
I am a rock,
I am an island.
Don't talk of love,
But I've heard the words before;
It's sleeping in my memory.
I won't disturb the slumber of feelings that have died.
If I never loved I never would have cried.
I am a rock,
I am an island.

I have my books
And my poetry to protect me;
I am shielded in my armor,
Hiding in my room, safe within my womb.
I touch no one and no one touches me.
I am a rock,
I am an island.

And a rock feels no pain;
And an island never cries.

Not really, he was a nobody at some nothing club.....what a chance for him to manage one of England's biggest clubs. His achievements early on were great, but you do have to question how much influence he really did have having seen the last 7 years unravel in the way they have......did he just sign the right players and inherit real top characters and leaders from Graham....the fact he's been unable to replicate that suggests that the players at the time had a massive influence on his success, maybe more so that him.

I daresay Wenger had achieved more before 1996 than 'Arry had before 2008, especially given their respective ages from those two dates.

You will derive more entertainment from watching other sides concede and score many goals because you don't support that team compounded with seeing our team become worse. Our matches might be filled with less quality these days but I am fairly sure most supporters of other clubs would say our games (generally) are entertaining in the same way you think 'Arry's teams are.

His teams have displayed everything in a football match you condemn Wenger for not being able to sort only with even greater collapses.

Yeah because now he is fighting for the league a better trophy. No man u fan cares about the CC now they are no in it. If they get to the final they want to win it.

The CC is way down on Fergie and the players lists of what they want to win. City fans don't care they are not in it.

so you want a final at wembley and for us to win, and play nice football. so if we win the COC, and play nice football you wont object wenger staying past this year then will you?

That's how fans behave. If we lose then the ref cheated, obviously. If we get knocked out of the cup then fine, we didn't want to be in it anyway. If somebody leaves the club he was no good in the first place. Football is great because you are expected to be 100% biased, that's the whole point. That's why when the guy next to you says, "Oh well, the best team won...", after a loss, you punch him in the face. And that's why when things aren't going well the club is finished forever, and when we're winning we're going to win the title. That's the fun of it. It's not a court case, it's escapism. There isn't a test later, you can say one thing today and another tomorrow. It's fine. You could even admit you are wrong in this case, because no Arsenal fan would ever want to see that **** Redknapp pitch up here. Admit it.

And so ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I rest my case. :Troy McClure:

That makes no sense at all sorry, if when he won it he didn't give a sh*t about it then he wouldn't be happy he'd won it....since it would be irrelevant. Like I said the big clubs have won it, if they didn't care at all they wouldn't play their better players in the semi's and final.

Are you GP's bitch nowadays? Only you seem to be like his shadow or something.

Go back to the original thread. You are in a very small minority in thinking it is crap.

Mind you, there is nothing wrong with being in a very small minority. Many who have been have come to be regarded as visionaries.

Others have gone on to be regarded as twats.

When he won it i am sure he was happy you'd have to be a retard not to be. He has been knocked out of it this season. I don't think he is that bothered by it.

They are fighting for the league thats what he really wants to win. If he wins the league and not the COC he won't care.

Obvioulsy of he was still in it he'd want to win it, but at the start of the season i don;t think he'd care to much for it as oppose to the other cups.

Like i said give Fergie,Mancini even the fella at chavs at chance to pull out of it they all would.

for years we have laughed at tottenham for copying us, for trying to be like us, yet now one arsenal fan is aruging that we should copy tottenham, the club who for the last 17 years have always finished below, the club whose trophy honours include "joint winners of the norwich hospital trophy"

Yes but most of the time they don't make sense.

Obviously he wants to win the league more, only an idiot wouldn't (do you even have to mention that?), it might be lower priority but he's still won it and been happy to and play top players in it.....Wenger has won f*ck all and still can't even manage the CC when he's not going for the league or CL as he has no chance.

I don't associate managers with clubs, what about Sol Campbell he came from Spurs how is that any different?

I'd like to see Wenger at Spurs, that would be great for us, kill two birds with one stone.
