Amidst all the tension and gloom around Arsenal, I just realised we're 4 weeks away from Christmas. :jumpnana:

Any special plans this year or just the usual drinking and eating sessions?

Having a nice relaxing family Christmas this year. Not going anywhere, so it'll be chilled, but also with beer.

So Christmas Day is going to be a bigger disapointment than vpgreg. Also means I can't get plastered Christmas Eve. But with so much time off work now I think the global impression might be the highest for many years.

Speaking of disappointment, in the office Secret Santa this year, my supervisor randomised it nicely to deliberately give me the girl I'm semi-involved with. Which means she'll obviously have given her me. So we're going to have to buy each other ridiculously sexually-explicit presents (in keeping with the office tradition).

And before anyone thinks dildos, it's a £5-7 buying limit.

Fuck's sake. I was promised it'd be both random and anonymous, so I could buy something shit and no one would know.

I'm a bit stuck with my shopping. As a family, we've all set really low limits. Basically my parents have a house stocked full of pretty much everything, and anything they don't have, they don't want.

And none of us give a shit about presents...so....dunno.....

Think we're all just gonna get shitfaced

Marc Overmars
28-11-2012, 04:54 PM
Yeah we just get a load of random stuff for each other now, unless there's a specific request. I haven't even been awake on Christmas morning to open presents for the past 2 years. Sleep off the hangover before lunch which is the main event, presents can wait.

American chocolate is truly awlful. Even relegation candidates like Twix and Kit Kat are better than their Champions League contenders. Although I came across one of these (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hershey's_Cookies_'n'_Creme) recently, which was the only acceptable American chocolate I have tasted.

And you should cancel those Thornton's orders and replace them with awlsome stuff from here: http://www.hotelchocolat.co.uk/.

Corona or Peroni if you want value for money, as there are usually some good deals knocking about for boxes of 12 at this time of year.

Kingfisher and Cobra are quite good as well but they might work out expensive because I can't remember if any local supermarket does them in multipacks, normally they're sold as big individual bottles. Probably best to look online for deals if you want to try these.
