View Full Version : Match Reaction vs Olympiakos

Awful performance again, however I don't think anyone's particularly surprised. A fair few of the team out there tonight had a chance to impress and maybe enhance their chances of breaking into the first team, but as usual they fail to grasp the opportunity.

We're really lucky that we got a very poor group this year, if instead of Montpellier and Olympiakos we got Juventus and Malaga we'd have been taken to the cleaners and probably would have finished bottom.

One bright spot was Rosicky though. Hopefully he's not injured again, and if he's available I'd start him instead of Arteta.

Bit silly to take so many young players and not see them in action.

Even sillier to see Ramsey stink it up for a full 90 minutes again.

It was not that bad! Verm, Jenkinson, Meade and Rosicky were positives! We looked pretty good going forward in the first half. Although I have to say that Chamach, Ramsay and Gervinho are the worst players ever to wear an Arsenal shirt !

I wonder how long Wenger can persist with Ramsey before he realises he's shit. Took him long enough with Denilson.

Another bore fest as usual from Arsenal. Expected us to lose and we lost.. We dont look like a team anymore. I remember our old Carling Cup teams tearing all sorts of new holes to a lot of teams but this lot of youngsters are crap. Cant blame them really.. they are training with the first team and a manager both of who are completely and utterly clueless.

We were always going to lose this so defeat isn't a surprise. With Wenger in charge, we start most games as 2nd faves. I'm a naturally positive guy though. Don't think the performance was that bad. Few positives were Meade, Rosicky, Jenks and Chamakh. The rest a bit shit. Oh well.

well he should be very worried that his captain has turned into a complete and utter joke and we have once again thrown away a lead to a shithouse of a team. bodes well for saturday. confidence pumping through the club.

Predictable result. Can't be bothered to dwell on it.

Potential 2nd round opponents:

PSG, Malaga, Dortmund, Barca.

With it to be decided between Shakhtar/Juve and Bayern/Valencia.

Irrelevant match. Most sensible managers would use this as confirmation certain players had reached the end of their arsenal careers - Ramsey and gervinho, in particular. But you can 100% guarantee they will feature in some way on Saturday.

Completely pointless exercise in what is an increasingly pointless season.

Can we have a new manager yet please?

Pretty much. You could see from the team taken yesterday it was not one to go for a win.

When you have Ramsey and Gev leading you team, you have lost before you have got on the pitch. Arshavin another lazy one who can't be relied on when the going gets touch says it all.

For wenger to thrust him in as fabregas' lone replacement was unthinkable. Hes now a shot player, get rid.

A bit much to expect the team to keep their nerve in an utterly meaningless game against an incredibly ordinary opponent. I suppose there's a degree of consistency developing now, we are consistently bad in every match. Who are we losing to on the weekend?
