what has happened to cisse?

from world beater to toilet cleaner.

every touch he's had he's miscontrolled the ball.

Any of these three things - two strikers played up front is incompatible. He is suffering from Ba mainly being next to him rather than when Ba was going out wide for him at the end of last season.

Or, he scored a lot of very good goals but ultimately, a string of flukes.

Barcodes 1-3 Citeh, FT.

agreed, he dominates on both ends of the field and I would be inclined to say he is better than PV going forward. I hope Ivory Coast go all the way to the final so City are without him for quite some time.

McNamara That Ghost...
15-12-2012, 03:03 PM
I dunno, I don't think he is quite as athletic as Vieira was - in the sense Yaya can only do it two or three times in a game but when he does, it's usually devastating.

And yeah we won't play against Yaya, not that he has been that good against us when he has.

I agree with this actually and I think Vieira was able to get up and down the pitch alot quicker than Yaya. He can cover alot more ground IMO, I would still take PV over him but its close.

'Joe Allen was woeful and I am getting annoyed with his safe passes side to side each game thought BR said that he had more to his locker when he will be playing higher up the pitch in one of the interviews. Also as other have said why do we try to play the middle then pass out wide to johnson to cross ( his crosses were shit ) Andy Carroll ?Inept in the final third.'

so liverpool fans agree that allen a poor mans arteta. who is a poor mans denilson.

so denilson > allen.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers: "It's a disappointing result and performance from us. I don't know where that came from as it's not been like us. We were careless with our final ball and didn't end up taking our chances.

"We will have to take that as a bad day at the office and move on. I felt today we probably weren't quite sharp enough. It was a clear penalty [when Ciaran Clark pulled Daniel Agger's shirt] and if you get that it is 2-1 and the pressure can start to build. But they got their third and we went a bit flat. Overall, we didn't do enough and we must learn from it and move on."King Kenny has taught him well in the art of blaming decisions

It would be nice for him to sit out a few games, but he's a bit of a teacher's pet so that isn't going to happen.

Quite. We weren't that bad, we didn't do anything horrific we just didn't seem to do anything at all, and Villa did. Repeatedly.

He also says he's allowed to leave in January.

Rodgers needs the balls to drop Gerrard, which is a big ask for anyone, and to drop Allen, but he won't do that.

I don't know what Sahin and Assaidi have done to him but it must be personal.

The main problem for us is too many fans think we're better than we actually are, and still cling on to the idea we have a god given right to win everything all of the time, and can't accept that we are a mid-to-upper table team now. But that's not to say it's a terminal decline.

EVERTON’S Marouane Fellaini is facing a possible NINE-GAME ban after headbutting Stoke skipper Ryan Shawcross. And he is also set to be fined £150,000 — two weeks’ wages — by boss David Moyes, who is still fuming with the Belgian.
FA chiefs will today review TV footage and are likely to hit Fellaini with a three-match suspension at the very least.
But they also have the power to take other offences into account.
Fellaini was also caught on camera trying to BUTT Shawcross a second time, aiming an ELBOW in his direction and SMASHING him in the face as the pair grappled throughout the second half.
FA chiefs will almost certainly slap the Toffees star with a retrospective three-match ban, as his butt on Shawcross would be considered a red card offence on its own.
But if they feel the other incidents are just as serious, then the FA could also hand down multiple suspensions.
Much will depend on ref Mark Halsey, who missed Fellaini’s blatant headbutt.
But he will be shown TV footage today and asked whether he saw any of the other incidents.
And that will dictate whether the player will get an extended ban.
That could mean a total ban of six to nine games — ruling the player out until well into next year.
There is a precedent for such action, as the FA showed when punishing QPR’s Joey Barton at the end of last season.
Barton was handed a 12-match ban after being found guilty of two counts of violent conduct in the Premier League title decider at Manchester City.
Angry Moyes admitted the Fellaini incident was “not acceptable”.
And he is not about to let the matter lie with Fellaini, who is set to cop the club’s maximum fine.
The Everton manager added: “We will take the punishment if it is given.”
Fellaini, 25, issued an apology to Shawcross on Saturday but that is likely to come too late for the player who will not escape trial by TV.
Everton defender Sylvain Distin, meanwhile, hopes the FA takes a consistent line on what he called “wrestling” by Stoke players at set-pieces.
Distin said: “They just catch you all the time and grab you.
“It’s wrestling, it was tough. I think the ref could have a look at it. There is no consistency.”
