Apology to David Lloyd

On Wednesday, 12 June during a studio discussion on BBC Two, after rain interrupted play at the Aegon Tennis Championships at The Queen's Club, the BBC's commentator Andrew Castle suggested there were issues in the personal life of David Lloyd which made him unsuitable to be considered for the role of CEO of the Lawn Tennis Association.
Mr Castle would wish to make clear that his comments were without foundation and apologises to Mr Lloyd for any embarrassment or distress caused.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/tennis/22988896

Castle is an utter fuckwit. I'm sure he records the sound of his own voice and listens back to the recordings in between toilet breaks from his Castle On TV Sky+ catch-up.

Articles like this piss me off with their ambiguity.

What did Castle say?

There was discussion about who should be the next LTA Chief and when they suggested David Lloyd, Castle started alluding to personal problems. Everyone seemed bemused, either because it was bullshit or because Castle was bringing up apparent personal problems on live TV.

The salient point though is that Castle talks far too much about everything but has nothing worthwhile to say about anything. His oily, sleazy demeanour is a bonus.

Old Man Feederer :haha:.

What an embarrassment he has become.

Muzza's rise to the top has destroyed him. He'll be remembered as the guy who appeared with Tiger Woods and Thierry Henry on some shaving commercial now. The Challenger tour beckons.

Viktor Troicki has been banned for 18 months for a violation of anti-doping rules, the International Tennis Federation has announced.

The 27-year-old Serb, who recently reached the third round at Wimbledon, failed to provide a blood sample during the Monte Carlo Masters in April.

Troicki, ranked 53rd in the world, claimed he had asked for permission to be excused from the blood test because he was feeling unwell.

But the ITF rejected that explanation.

Troicki, who reached 12th in the world rankings in June 2011, will begin his suspension immediately and it will end on 24 January, 2015.

He becomes the fifth professional to serve a doping suspension in 2013 after Filippo Calorosi, Barbora Zahlavova Strycova, Dimitar Kutrovsky and Fernando Romboli.

The ITF said he had the right to appeal at the Court of Arbitration of Sport.

Troicki must also forfeit all of the prize money and rankings points he earned at the Monte Carlo tournament, where he was beaten 6-1 6-2 by Finland's Jarkko Nieminen in the first round.

Possible Djokovic vs Nadal semi-final.

Muzza - Del Potro QF based on seedings, though Muzza could have Dimitrov in the second round (failing that then his master Granollers).

Djokovic would have Tomic or Mayer in the second round. Nadal would have Levine or Malisse, so probably a lot easier.
