Watching tottenham v qpr atm and he looks like a nothing player. Thouggt he was at his best when he played for arsenal, he fittes our system well. Could have developed into more if he had stuck with us

He's a decent enough player when he can be arsed.
Unfortunately that isn't often enough.

Surerly you mean 'fortunately'?

Never rated him to be honest, always said that season when he scored 32 goals was a lucky season and that's how it's turned out. He's not a bad player, but he's nothing special and noone will remember him after he's retired.

One of the worst attitudes in football as well, everything is about him and he seems to get into conflicts everywhere he goes. Didn't he talk in the 3rd person as well?

Day he left was a great day in the history of Arsenal IMO, Wenger chose to beat the fans with it though, shame on him.

This^^^

Never rated Ade, tbh. I can distinctly recall telling my bro that this lad wasn't Arsenal material, this after watching him a few games into his 1st season with us.

Even this thread should be deleted, as there should really be nothing in memory of such a nothing player around these parts, imo.

Really? :o You never said...

He's always been rated in the game, he's always been courted by top clubs. His real problem, as you say, is his attitude.

Nice work on turning the sale of him in another reason to bash Wenger even though you think it was the right thing to do

Unfortunately for him and any club who employs him. Fortunately at the moment I guess as that club is City/Spurs.

John Toshack always got top jobs and yet he was a sh*t manager, that one off 32 goal season has kept his career going IMO, people still believe he could do it again I guess.

Wasn't really bashing Wenger, just stating a fact in the Adebayor story, think that showed something about the man really IMO.

Blaming the fans never has a happy ending, it wasn't the fans that talked about Milan or headbutted their own teammate, nor was it them that asked for a pay rise every summer.

Very good player on his day. Scored goals wherever he's been

Scores some great goals but is a complete ****, lazy, arrogant, and generally epitomises everything which is wrong with the 'modern day' footballer.

good player. was an absolute beast for us that season he banged in 30. the closest thing the premier league has seen to a drogba replica.

grew sicked and tired of our weak mentality and trophy void so went. dont blame him.

And then he did fuck all.

He plays for one reason and one reason only - so much so, he shouldn't be involved in team sports.

its the same with all our players that leave though. we elevate them to such an extent that they dont find that level of comfort and adoration elsewhere. wenger knows how to put his arm around the players to make them feel adored, and although it doesnt necessarily mean they'll stay, it does mean they find it difficult to find that bond at other clubs and it affects their form.

nope he didnt. he saw more money and just wanted that. proof of this, was in the summer, when tottenham wanted to sign him and city basically had said he would never play for them again, he refused to take a pay cut on his 185k a week wages, and city had to pay it to get rid of him. he would rather take the money thne play football. exactly why he left us, for money. not trophies, not glory, but money
