What ever happened to Edu?

One of my favorite Arsenal players in recent times was Edu, he was a great guy having met him in person and he told me his house was haunted when I mentioned having read a newspaper article. He also lost his sister in a car crash in Brazil, I recall he had the dodgy passport and his debut was delayed, I first saw him live playing in a pre friendly against Borehamwood. One of the things I first noticed about him was the way he was puting himself about, not usual for a brazilian footballer, but to compliment his steel nerves was a sweet left foot and his passing was sharp and simple. He left Arsenal and went to Valencia due to a contract dispute with the club and then he got a long term injury. That's the last I can recall about Edu. Does anyone know what he's doing now? is he still playing pro football?

He's director of football at Corinthians.

I loved the guy, brilliant player, bit of steel and a wonderful passer just wish we could have held onto him longer as he could have been something really special for us.

Agreed, I was gutted when we let him go, could have given us two more great seasons, he was part of the invincibles me thinks.

Back when he was with us, he had Gilberto, the best DM in the world and Vieira, the best in the world at what he does in front of him so he was unfortunate.
