He will. No matter what we know, the idea is that Wimbledon is way above the other three and so the US Open win won't be seen by the layman as such a great achievement.

And in lieu of that it will be seen as more important than a TdF GC win.

Can't help but speak the truth. No you're right.

Do you know anything about tennis or are you just part of the Wimbledon jolly fans that show up once a year?

If you did you'd realise Djokovic just didn't play well, too many unforced errors, serve very hit and miss and poor play on crucial shots a number of times.....all things you don't really see from Djokovic when he plays well.

Didn't seem too disappointed at the end, he knew he didn't perform.

Does it really matter?.....or is your only interest in patronising other members of this board, i don't think anyone can be in any doubt that Nole Djokovic didnt have his best game.....but as far as i'm concerned he didn't have his best game against Rafa Nadal at Roland Garros....loads of unforced errors complete with a complete evaporation in his final service game in the fifth set.....but i think it's ridiculous to suggest that a player wins a grand slam in straight sets and that it is undeserved.
Obviously you don't take into consideration that even unforced errors can be caused by your oponent....Murray attacked the Djokovic serve well the same way Del Potro did and it left the Serb resorting to serve volleying....he also showed a remarkable amount of resilience when he himself was playing to passive and being pushed back behind the baseline by the serb.....which led him to be broken in the 2nd set but then came in and showed agressiveness on the Djokovic serve.

It really is surreal that it ended in straight sets. But I suppose there were wild momentum shifts aplenty in each. Djokovic was lacking lot sharpness, but for once Murray stayed focused and didn't have elongated lapses, even when he was broken. The match was summed up in the final game really. As MO eloquently stated, he nicked Djokovic's balls today.

There is also the possibility Djokovic played poorly just to avoid a dance/crazy hop with Bartoli at the ball.

1924:

Mats Wilander, the Swede who won seven Grand Slam titles in the 1980s, believes Andy Murray could be on course for a similarly spectacular haul.

Wilander said on Live@Wimbledon: "I think Andy Murray can win six, seven, eight, nine, 10 majors. The only man that can stop him is Novak Djokovic.

"These two here are going to decide who gets ahead in the history books. I hope they both decide this is a rivalry that's just going to grow and become great on all the different surfaces, in all four majors."

I watched Tennis from the time of Sampras' domination at SW19....and because of this the emergence of Roger Federer was just a refreshing change that the guy is one of my favourite sports men of all times....but even when Roger finally won at Roland Garros it didn't mean as much to me as the US Open last year and Wimbledon this year.

We are in the era of the Muzza fuckers.

Beaten finalist last year in a match he had won had it not been for the rain as proven a few weeks later when he destroyed Federer on the 2nd biggest sporting stage of them all. Won the US Open, another final in Australia, injury prevented him from walking the French and now this. Undisputed number 1.

With Federer dying, Nadal dead and Djokovics 15 minutes over, can anyone stop him winning the grand slam?

Del Potro maybe. Possibly Bogdanovic but no one else.

One of the great sporting moments in world history today.

Muzza has to win SPOTY for sure. Robbed last year by a pubber was shocking but this time, there is no contest. Maybe Giggs.

Looking forward to the US Open.

Don't rule out Nadal, he's still a force when fully fit.

Del Potro and Berdych are in the mix too (again if the former can stay fit).

Nadal will never be fully fit again, it's all about injury management for him now.
