if you buy them as we did, ie unproven but talented players, then yes 40 million would do it. if you buy them after their time at arsenal, 40 million wouldnt come close

missed bergkamp in there acutally. pires was a bit of a gamble though, he was doing well in france but unproven in england. it did take him a year to adapt, but worth the wait. gilberto is awesome
