Seriously though, Benzema at his best is pretty awlsome. And he does like dropping deep, so could theoretically play with Giroud at times.

It all seems less realistic than Suarez though. But as a great man above pointed out, Real Madrid are a bit mental and he was little bit booed by the fans at the weekend. Hopefully more booing on the weekend will speed up the transfer. It would certainly be more useful than our negotiations.

Analysing the situation it was pretty clear this may well be the case, his position has been strengthened by the sale of Higuain so why would he want to leave and Real can't really afford to lose him now.

We seem to be showing interest in players we're never going to get again, not unless you make megabucks bids (and even then the player may not want to come) which we'll never make (40 million is no longer megabucks for the players we're linked with, though it should be).
