The period where Norwich were outplaying us doesn't matter. We stepped it up when required and the super quality of our players shone through.

Giroud was brilliant all game. Even if he has a drought, you know he'll be effective for the team in other ways. Two perfect assists. The new Ozil?

Wilshere had his best game of the season. Apart from some sloppy passing, he was lively, sharp, on the move and was a constant attacking threat. The return of Sir Jack.

Ozil drifted in and out as usual. But wonderful when he came alive. Wenger has already turned him into a prolific goalscorer. The new Pires?

Ramsey. Wow. His form is incredible. His touch outside the box before his goal was good enough, but then he took it a step further. He brought out excellent saves from Ruddy, drove the team forward with real force and added a lovely assist for good measure. He's also quick, fast and he's got pace. And he's strong, powerful, he's got strength.

Koscielny, Gibbs and Szczesny were superb too.

Cazorla was mostly good. Probably needs another game to get fully into his groove. He did assist the assister twice .

Arteta was the only negative. He looked out of sorts with his passing.

Special mention for Dennis Bendtner too, who linked well and looked like he was a really useful part of the team despite being a hermit for the past year.

In conclusion:

Our goals .

Ramsey   .

Giroud .

Ozil .

Sir Jack .

Dennis Bentdner .

Wengerball .

It's hard to put to words the joy I'm feeling right now. A decade of suffering and we are finally turning the corner. Our performance today was a new breed of football. This play is reminiscent to how we use to be 10 years ago. We were exciting, creative and ruthless. I'm starting to believe THE Arsenal are back, and I'm just astounded by the quality on display.

The first goal was the best goal we've scored for a long time. Slow motion replays and the usual televised view don't do it justice. I initially thought it bobbled through to Giroud, who played that superb ball. But actually it was an incredible back heel touch in by Jack. The first touch and speed for that goal was just about as good as anything we've seen since 2005. Top quality goal.

@Arsenal: Wenger: 'The first goal was one of the best [I've seen]. It was a mixture of technical quality and speedy thinking' #AFCvNCFC

Ramsey was my MOTM. Completely dominated in the last half hour as we've come to expect. Even without his goal, he was peppering the Norwich goal with some great strikes and Norwich (who I thought played reasonably well and usually do trouble the big teams) had no answer to him charging forward at will.

I just hope Wenger keep Özil, Ramsey and Flamini midfield against Dortmund. Afraid Arteta is not yet fully fit (plus he is not mobile enough) to play against quick passing team. :coffee:

I honestly believe we're beginning to see the makings of another special team created by Arsene. Call it kneejerk if you like but....with the likes of Ozil and Cazorla pulling the strings and the development of Ramsey & Jack we're finally beginning to see a beautifully formed team. Arsene has actually bought very wisely over the past few years, those guys supplemented by the likes of Per, Flams & Giroud makes for very nice viewing.

It's still early days and this team is still very much in the "Development" phase, but right now we are playing at a very high level. I've not seen football like this from an Arsenal team for a good few years.

There is still work to be done, we need to address the lack of depth and quality upfront, Giroud aside. But all in all, it's a great start and today was another great result.

Big test next week against Dortmund, it's going to be a great game IMHO.

i disagree with how we didnt look good at times. Bar the five minute spell before HT norwich barely threatened, and even when they did, most of them where long shots which Szcesney dealt with comfortably. This Arsenal team seem to know how to control a game without the ball, norwich, stoke, swansea, sunderland have all had large amounts of time with the ball yet havnt really threatened.

A world class player in the making. He could probably play 3 times every week!

Glad I wasn't the only one who thought our first goal was one of the best team goals I've seen in the prem by any team!

I've been saying for years that Ramsey's long range shooting before his injury was the best in the squad. Yesterday was like going back in time. He was thundering shots on goal from outside the box - what a joy to watch!

I've always had faith he'd be a top player, but I can't quite believe how good he's become! My comparisons with Schweinsteiger last season seem to be doing Ramsey a disservice! He's great defensively, box to box, tricky dribbler, pace, power, thunderous shot, deft clinical finishing - he's just an utterly top class player.

It's such a privilege to have a blend of top quality players all clicking together once again. There is no glaring weakness in our squad for the first time in nearly a decade. Of course an injury to Giroud would be catastrophic, but I have more faith in our German striker with 111 caps than most.

The invincible's were perfect because we had so many players all playing together who had legitimate claims for being among the best in the world for their positions. Sagna, Ozil and Cazorla for me are undoubtedly top of the range, with Ramsey playing at that level currently, and Wilshere having the talent to reach such heights himself. There is also a vast amount of experience to back up some of the outrageous talent we have flowing through our squad. All in all I just have a very good feeling about the squad we are putting together.

Our back 4 will not get the recognition it deserves until they rightly win something, but the Mertesacker Koscienly partnership seems to work perfectly, and I can't believe how much Gibbs has progressed since last season. Gibbs would probably walk into most World Cup squads other than Englands ironically. Mertesacker is the commanding presence we'd all hoped he would be, and is clearly the best leader we've had at the back since big Sol.

Quite a lot of ahfc doubted Gibbs but I'm glad he's stayed fit and looked good.

Ramsey has far exceed his form of before his injury as well as our expectations. Delightful to see.

I have slaughtered Wilshere for his reluctance to use his right foot so it was nice to see him use it to score yesterday!

yep but who gives a fuck? we are top of the league. 2 points clear of second, 8 points clear of united. those are the stats that matter. not that we beat the same teams last year. those comparisons take out the fact that those teams havnt improved from last year so they are pointless and only seem to be used by spurs fans claiming we are worse then last year. bitter fuckers
