What are you doing then to see in 2014?

Night out? Big party? Quiet night in? Going to sleep?

On a side note, I thought we'd be in hover cars and flying to the moon at will by now. <_<

Quiet night in?
That.

The hoverboards and flying cars are due in 2015 so scientists better get their shit together next year. <_<

Out for a curry, then home to bed well before the witching hour.

Worst night of the year.

Like every year.

Vodka and waiting for the London fireworks on TV. Phone calls around the family. Apparently the first call of the year is an important one which inevitably leads to everyone trying to call each other and being engaged.

Go round and change the calendars.

I'm trying to avoid alternatives to going into London, as much as i love Arsenal (London based club) i really have fallen out of love with our nation's capital....plus it's so expensive.

I was out in London a few years back and it was awful. Must have spent about 40 quid just on entrance fees alone. Never again.

Also you'd think they were doing us a favour by making the tube free after midnight, but the reality is that stations are overcrowded and the queues can be ridiculous, even worse than leaving the Emirates.

You see the problem

We went up to town last year, kinda glad I did it but won't be rushing back.
Saw Life of Pi, which was quite good, got ripped off for a NYE meal, failed to get into my office building which overlooks the London Eye so ended up watching the fireworks from Trafalgar Square. The view was actually quite good from there and there were less twats around than I'd expected.
Getting home was a bit of a palaver though, walked to Holborn and just got locked outside the gates. Had to wait about half an hour before they let us in which was annoying, was OK after that.

We're off to see Anchorman 2 this afternoon and will get a curry takeaway later, watch the fireworks on telly then go to bed.

Anyone got any resolutions for 2014?

I think mine will be not to click any Daily Mail links. I have a morbid fascination with reading the bullshit they come up with on a daily basis but am resolved to cleanse myself of it this year. There's only so much crap you can read about Islamist Romanian republican benefit cheating socialist BBC-watchers.

It's a cliche I know but I would like to get back on the gym properly.

Couldn't be fucked for most of last year.

My gym was miles away but a new ones opened round the corner. I'll sign up there and hope I'm more motivated to go.

Gyms must do massive business this time of year.

Nothing specific really but yeah, for the 20th year in a row a vague intention to stop being such a fatso.
Got off to a flier today, they had all day breakfast in the canteen today
Did do an awlsome poo this afternoon though so may have got away with it.
