The team has been poor for since late Dec, we lost dynamic when Ramsey got injured and made worst with Wenger persistent playing Ozil and Jack (two off form players) in midfield. This is something ex players have spoken about many times, most recently Vieira who said it was a strength but also a weakness of the manager. Just because you have a decent set of players comfortable with a style of play doesn't mean you can ignore the merits of the opposition.

I've been seeing it for years too and enough ex and current players have spoken of the "freedom" that wenger gives them, to go out and just play their game. this is a good thing when it works, like you said but there is quite a lot times players need direction/instructions, a tactical or even an almighty kick up the backside.

as upset as i am at the performance today, deep down it's the manager that i am really upset at and am strongly feeling he will not be the man to take us further because of these limitations. we have a good team, but i am feeling a little sorry for them today and worried about our future with wenger in charge.
