Seriously, FA should be able to go in and give a diver like Sturridge a penalty of some sorts... Diving for a red card and penalty, should seriously be punished hard, when the cameras clearly show there was no contact. Disgusting divers those liverpool strikers.

Moyes needs to be given time. Some people seem to forget he is Scottish and therefore a great manager by default. He'll keep them up, have no doubts about it.

Ferguson's biggest strength was to get players motivated to attack effectively, all the time. Whether that's through fear or encouragement or by whatever means. Tactically he was never particularly great but he never needed to be.

I couldn't trust Moyes to compose a side to make the Champions League, no matter how much time he is given. Ok so he did it with Everton but that was a season when the team finished fourth with 61 points, that's nowhere near enough now.

Yeah, I agree with that and think Fergie saw the same sort of qualities in Moyes. It's an old way of thinking. He's got it badly wrong and it will take much more than that for a coach to survive in this league.

It's ok to manage in that way when you can command respect from your players but how can Moyes with nothing to back his career up with achieve that from players who have won trophies consistently? Obviously, he can't.

Exactly. He was on the backfoot before he stepped in the door. He has no credentials. Not a revolutionary mind in football and tactics, has no new philosophy, wasn't a great player so he's got no clout there, no trophies...how can they respect him? What was he bringing to the table?

It's not even that they're losing, it's that they're losing whilst playing terribly. At the start of Rodgers' time with us we had some pretty poor results, but it was clear that he was getting us to play a certain style. Moyes is just getting the Champions (!) to smash it up field and hope for the best. He got his tactics horribly wrong today but even when everyone could see what was wrong, not least Neville, he carried on regardless.
People said off hand that him buying Mata wasn't a problem because he wouldn't know what to do with him... that's not looking far wrong.
Playing Januzaj and Mata as wingers was just odd; Mata had no chance of getting on the ball and creating when shoved out on a by line, and Januzaj only had glimpses of decency when he managed to get an overlap. Otherwise they were both anonymous and were given the run around by Allen and Henderson. Rooney ran around a bit without actually doing anything, Carrick was a coward. Afraid to do anything himself or take responsibility. There's a difference between keeping possession ticking over and actually refusing to run into 30 yards of space with the ball in favour of a sideways ball to [I think] Evra who had defenders to get past. Fellaini is a bumbling oaf, but he was doing the work of two. Even then, playing two midfielders who can barely run against the likes of Sterling, Henderson and Allen is asking for trouble. They'll run rings round you and won't get tired of doing it. The only thing Fellaini brought to the game was being able to win the headers from goal kicks. It wouldn't surprise me if that was part of the reason Moyes bought him... apart from the obvious panic.
Most of the service to Van Persie ended up being crosses. Shit, aimless crosses. How does he still think this is a viable tactic? Though his only contributions to the match were to smash it into the side netting, when he wasn't flagged offside of course. Little boy etc.
They can whinge about the 3rd penalty all they like, but it made absolutely no difference to the game. And yes I did think it was a flop from Sturridge. But equally Fellaini could quite easily have had one given against him in the first half, Sturridge had one turned down which was the clearest of the lot and Rafael should have been sent off about 8 times. In any case, we did them a favour by getting Vidic sent off. Ferdinand coming on was the icing on the cake. Never have I seen two players so far past it. It's actually quite sad to see. Hilarious too.
He commands no respect from the players. He has no aura with the fans, instils no confidence. It doesn't even seem like he has a plan. Just "we've got decent players, if we just play them all, they'll figure it out"..... as it turns out, no they can't.

Cannot BELIEVE we failed to beat that lot this season
Five points dropped against them - in the state they're in is hugely disappointing. I accept that we were down with the lurgy at OT, but to not have beaten them at home has been extremely costly.

Moyesy will be given time until at least Chrsitmas time according to most Man ure fans and as long as they beat the drop he should be fine this season!
If anyone is gonna win the league besides us i hope its Liverpool. They have done it with their own (ish) money and play attacking football, not to mention that they are less cunty than Chelsea or City. The way they attacked man ure and showed no fear should be a lesson to AW as he seems scared of them recently.

And even at home, they more or less had the best chances to win the game, RVC at the start when he was 1 on 1 and fucked it up, and the header which Ches tipped onto the bar.

To be fair though, they're all better than what he has right now.
United will obviously spend their way out of this, and if he wastes it all on shit again like Fellaini, and with the loss of CL, big wages etc, the demise will be truly on!

He desperately needs Anicebe. That 80 yard hoof into the box or the aimless crossing is never going to work if you don't have Anichebe up there. Has Duncan Ferguson retired? He'd be ideal.

Setting aside the obvious delight at Utd falling off a cliff (having pushed themselves by hiring Moyes), even the Hapless One will eventually get a few results at such a big club if they persist with him. He'll learn as he goes and he'll change. He has to or he's out. Fergie almost got the boot early on and it was one of the most momentous decisions in football to keep him despite the fans screaming for his head. So Moyes will eventually come good, to a degree. What manager wouldn't given time and the resources at Utd? The sickening thing will be when he's spent enough money and hit on a formula some will be saying - told you so. No. Just means you can teach a chimp to play the piano if you spend enough time and effort. But it really is hilarious how out of his depth he is at the moment.

I know they gave Fungus nose time but that was almost 30 years ago and football has lost patience. He'll get until the end of the calendar year but i dont think he'll be given 4 years like Fungus. The guy has no track record, no idea what he;s doing and the players, from the outside anyway, dont look like they believe in him.
Frankly i hope he stays there for as long as possible.

Three things about that vid.
1. That guy has a huge nose.
2. WTF with the incredibly irritating yank who keeps butting in?
3. Why does that twat in the background want everyone to see his nipples?

I can't decide if I want them to qualify for the Europa.
On the one hand it may buy Moyes a bit more time. "At least we got something from the season." On the other hand, it isn't as funny.
Spurs' results after playing in the Europa have tended to be pretty bad, something like 6/7 defeats in games directly after, not least having to play mostly Sundays in the first place. Though you'd think United would cope better than Spurs. Then again... Moyes.
