lets not let this thread descend into a Wenger out or in but actually lets post our favourite memories/moments etc of him in here. While not all of us agree about him and recent years etc, one thing we can all agree on is he will leave a legacy behind him. He has given us some of the finest footballers and teams we will ever see. He's reached 1000 games, which in this day and age of sackings every two minutes is a huge achievement.

Your favourite Arsene photo/memory/moment/quote.

My favourite photo of him is this http://news.bbc.co.uk/media/images/40157000/jpg/_40157733_wenger_gi200x300.jpg

Winning the league unbeaten.

No manager will ever reach 1000 games with a single club again. His legacy will live long after he's gone.

Wenget.

Still find it funny how he said we could go a season unbeaten, then the next year we did. Probably the earliest sign he was a master WUM.

My favorite moment of AW was him taking SAF to the cleaners for fun. Only manager in history that I know, took on Fergie and beat him. This is before money bags Chelscum and Shitty came into the picture.

My favorite quote from AW is about him taking a swipe at SAF about having the prettiest wife at home.. what a WUM!

Picture... y'all know it!

1000 games is amazing.

Good shout! I was at that boro game - it was absolutely insane. If I remember correctly, that was the match that took us past Forest's record. Pires and Reyes scored within a minute of each other to lift the roof off the North Bank.

That's right. Sky missed most of the build-up to Reyes' goal.

97/98 season. Adams blasts in the last goal against Everton and the title is won. Followed by the cup and a double. Then Petit and Vieria hooked up for the final goal to win the World Cup. Hard to see how that could be topped.

The unbeaten season.

Those won't be beaten.

That champions league run in 06. Kept winning even though we were written off for every game.

More recently the 5-3 vs Chelsea few years back. No-one gave us a hope in hell.

This season Spurs 1-0 a few days ago.

Brilliant memories.

Still remember ITV starting the Madrid coverage, Gabby Logan goes with 'Real's galacticos are up against 1' Ie only Henry in our team was a 'galactico'

I was at that Boro match too, my first couple of months in London, my first game at Highbury.

What! A! First! Game!!!

Mine was a 2-1 loss at home to Coventry when Dixon lobbed Seaman from 35 yards. :(

Just sucks his 1000th game have to be against Mourinho, because that guy will do anything to get the attention, win/draw/lose, he will do some disrespectable stuff and the media will jump on it.

I think one of my favourite moments is actually Henry vs Leeds in recent times, because it just shows what Wenger has build and what this club is about, that is never going to happend in any other clubs.

The unbeaten season has to be mentioned, unbeaten in the premier league, i mean... wtf :d Next time that cunt Mourinho says something, Wenger should just tell him to try and win the premier league without losing... good luck :d

But if we win, it will be even more special..

And Wenger, maddening as hell sometimes, but undoubtedly an Arsenal legend. Transformed us into a modern day club and will leave behind a brilliant platform for any new manager coming in. Has given us some of the ultimate highs as fans, which will never be forgotten.

Unbeaten season. Cups and leagues. The champions league run. Taking it to old beetroot nose like no manager had done before.

just seen this stat.

in the 92 seasons before Arsene arrived, we finished in the top four, 23 times. Since Arsene arrived, it has been 17 out of 17 seasons.

Remarkable consistency that.

McNamara That Ghost...

It is a very good record but in fairness, there was no such thing as a top four then, in fact there was no such thing as a top 4 until 2003 really.

It's true that the gap between the top few and 'the rest' has grown in the PL era but there is a perception from some on here that we've always been a big club (true) and we've always been up there (definitely not true). At times, even in my memory, we were a very mid-table side. And if you look back historically we've not been a side who regularly won trophies, not since the 30s. The fact we're now one of the top few and have stayed there despite the billionaires coming in and occupying two of the slots is pretty much all down to Wenger. If our expectations have been lowered somewhat over the last few years then it should be recognised that they were initially raised by Wenger.

Even when trying to be remotely respectful he has to take a little swipe.

God how sweet would it be if we won tomorrow.

Sums him up as a person. He's in incredibly jealous of what Arsene because he will never have it. In years to come Arsene will be talked about as a legend, a person who changed football etc, mourinho won't be mentioned. He wants a legacy but will never have one and he hates it.

Also he's a cunt

Here's an interesting stat. If you compare fergies first 1000 games to Arsenes 999 games, Arsene has a better record. More wins and better win percentage

My favourite AW moment was during the on pitch trophy celebrations after the 2-1 home win against Leicester City, someone in the stands had thrown a "Comical Wenger" tshirt on the pitch and he picked it up and held it up against his chest and smiled.
