Managed to watch Punk-Lesnar unspoiled. Great match with the right outcome, seeing as Lesnar is probably off now until WM time.

Cena-Bryan was also awesome but I stumbled on the result when searching for it on Youtube.

Bryan. :(

I suppose the Orton cash-in had been teased for weeks anyway and Triple H's involvement made it the most likely outcome.

Did Cena ever take that one right in the mush or what?

Good stuff all round, I like that they teased the cash-in/turn we all saw weeks ago actually not happening. Orton/HHH in cahoots is the plothole of plotholes though - I guess attempts to murder wives/break into houses are all water under the bridge eh? Kayfabe

And Punk is da man.

WWE Title Match: John Cena © vs. Daniel Bryan w/Special Referee Triple H - Bryan with Triple H turning heel and Randy cashing in

We shouldn't expect continuity from them really given how hard it is for them to reference past events. It took them until way in to the Del Rio - Christian match to mention they had a feud beforehand...

I reckon it's pointless now to turn him heel, as he'd probably be cheered.

I'm not so sure the 'smarks' would cheer him. They'd still think he sucks in the ring (there's a reason Khali is booed out of every building when he is on the heel side, and that is not down to him being an Imposing Monster). The kiddies would of course hate his guts. That said, I don't see it happening as Vince is terrified at the 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000000001% drop in merchandise net sales there would be...

McNamara That Ghost...
24-02-2014, 05:31 PM
I think they're adding the back catalogue in slowly, probably the right idea, people won't give the rest of what's to offer a chance otherwise.

Also, EC: Mostly ok, Shield - Wyatts was fantastic. Batista - Del Rio was abysmal.

The EC match was alright, some great spots involving Cesaro but again Daniel Bryan losing quickly killed the crowd. Orton - Batista is going to be shat out the building if that's what they do at Wrestlemania.

Hogan as we know is going to be on RAW and 'Taker is also supposed to be on RAW tonight. Who will 'Taker face? Speculation it'd be Lesnar but there is concern his style could actually kill off Undertaker for real. :ninja:

Marc Overmars
24-02-2014, 05:50 PM
Yeah Shield vs Wyatts was brilliant. Really impressed by both teams but in particular the Shield. Rollins is very Daniel Bryan like with his move set, Ambrose is a bit of a nutter and Reigns is just awesome.

Surely Bryan will have to be involved in the title match, there's no way they can get away with Orton-Batista.

Really hope this isn't the end of the Shield after defeat at EC. I know tag teams don't last forever, and it's building up to in-fighting between Ambrose and Reigns, but if they can muster one last amazing match against The Wyatts at WM (and TLC it up for good measure) then I may just be tempted into purchasing the PPV...

McNamara That Ghost...
01-03-2014, 10:35 PM
With Batista's promo on Smackdown it seems like they've saved face and turned him heel. Not that it matters a jot as to how many boos he would be getting anyway. That will surely mean somebody being inserted in to the Orton - Batista match or if not then Lesnar - Taker would be on last.

Also, RAW is in Chicago this week, with the prospect of no Punk.

Marc Overmars
02-03-2014, 11:36 AM
Bryan will surely be involved and win, I'd put money on that. Don't think Taker-Lesnar should go on last unless the streak is going to end, which obviously won't be the case. I suppose it would be better than Orton-Batista getting booed out of the building though.

McNamara That Ghost...
02-03-2014, 12:50 PM
I'd have thought that's the most likely scenario but I don't know, the resolution to this supposed endgame with Daniel Bryan never seems to arrive. If he is in the main event they will probably have him lose anyway.

Terry spent the last four years trying to crush WWE (and of course failed hilariously miserably). Now he can't even be bothered to know the name of the arena he is I. Just piss off.

Go away now Cena. You're actually a good bloke, but the way you are being booked(not your fault of course) is killing any potential top heel right out of the gate...

Wrestling Observer suggest that UT himself wanted Lesnar to end the streak. Clean too. Would not have been my choice, to say the very least. I'm sure it will really help the mood of one Phil 'CM Punk' Brookes too  As I have only read about it, I still can't quite believe that it has happened!

Blimey. http://www.411mania.com/wrestling/news/318932

Maybe they did call an audible and have Lesnar go over then? I don't think we've heard the last of this one.

On another note, if I was in an ambulance with a suspected concussion, the last thing I would want is to be sharing the back of the thing with Vinny

It was certainly the weakest Undertaker performance in recent memory, he just looked so old and beat up. Lesnar wasn't the right opponent for him.

There's an interesting suggestion in the comments there, reckoning that the original finish was Brock to win with the Tombstone, but then switched to an F5 as UT would be more protected by it physically. Conjecture of course, but I think that has legs.

Although I am still not 100% convinced the planned result was a Brock win...(that said I don't believe he "went into business for himself" or any nonsense like that)

The Ultimate Warrior has died. Fucking hell. :rose:

He was only on RAW on Monday cutting a promo.

This is what he said:

Every man's heart one day beats its final beat. His lungs breathe a final breath. And if what that man did in his life makes the blood pulse through the body of others and makes them bleed deeper and something larger than life then his essence, his spirit, will be immortalized.

I just thought it was his usual mystical phrasing but seems like quite a harbinger really.

RIP. :(

Especially when you consider he had just started an ambassadorial role/Legends Contract that would have meant him showing up fairly regularly, that promo was incredibly final...

Whilst it looks like a sudden heart attack, I rather suspect he knew he was unwell, and as pushed for all for HOF/RAW so he could finally bury the hatchets and mend fences when he had the chance.
