Most striking feature of the game was how our midfielders received the ball and immediately surged towards the gypo goal. Reminded me of Arsenal of old, so much better than that tippety-tap Baca crap style. We could never play the Barca way because we don't take drugs. Now hopefully we are back to playing our natural way.

Trying not be be biased for a minute, to be fair, when all is said and done, I'm not trying to be funny but, in all honesty, Henderson is not as good as Stevie Me. Now you may say I'm being horribly cruel and over the top, but I'm only calling it like I see it.

Ramsey's BT Sport interview after the game wasn't as bad as usual. It started off in typically horrific fashion, but got better. He has got some good PR people with him - seems like a new man since the start of the summer. Looks set to become the most marketable player in the league.

Less importantly, he's the same on the pitch. What a lovely touch and finish from him. Epic strike from Giroud too. And Cazorla tucked his chance away very neatly too. Got the feeling we've got a proper squad this year.

I know the Adebayor comparison have already been made, least of by Wenger but Sanogo really seems to have Adebayor's habit of being unnecessarily offside all the time.

There was a moment in the first half where Alexis makes a killer run on the counter but has no options because Sanogo decides to stand 2 yards offside.

Also for Santi's goal, Sanogo was standing about 5 yards offside just on the edge of the 6 yard box when Santi shoots. Thankfully the linesman wasn't a homo and didn't judge him to to be "interfering with play" but it was a completely unnecessary risk to take. Also it was good for his sake as well that the GK didn't palm it out for a rebound chance as that would have been ruled out. It's not rocket science Yaya, start closing in on goal for the follow up only at the point when the ball leaves Santi's foot!

Really needs to cut that out of his game.

This Arsenal looks so different to ones of recent years. There isn't any fear around the club. No fear of spending money, we've gone out and got deals done without messing around over fees. We've got the trophy drought off our back and you can see its relaxed the club. Just look at Arsene, he looks 20 years younger. The club has tried to address problems, signing a world renowned fitness coach to try and help with injury problems, quickly replacing players who have left, and we have three world cup winners due back to training this week and Theo back next month.
I think also training in Austria this pre season instead of travelling around Asia will help. Means the squad could focus on getting fit etc without having to do all the commercial stuff and lots of travelling. Think that will help too. If we now go out and sign a good back up centre back and get a holding midfielder in of some quality, given what we have done already this summer, it sends out a huge statement, we've looked at our problems, attempted to fix them and strengthened our squad with world class players. The belief seems to be back in the manager and the players, the Arsenal are coming.

Fun reading the media today. What are the main stories following this match?

1. Joe Hart. Will he be #1 for the gypos? It's understandable they lead with this because it's undoubtedly the main issue engaging football supporters up and down the country.

2. We can't judge anything from the game because the gypos were without several of their big hitters (and had to make do with other multi-million quid players). No Aguero (if you add Ozil and Walcott together they are only one tenth as good), no Kompany (statistically inferior to Merts last season), no Zabaleta (he'd have scored several goals for sure) and no Sagna or Lampard (who have never played a game for the gypos anyway - this is how badly they were missed).

The word is, be careful Arsenal fans because this match means nothing. Bigger tests are to come. This is handy advice because it's doubtful any Arsenal fans could have figured out by themselves that this encounter doesn't guarantee a title win. The stupid Arsenal fans spent most of their time enjoying a victory over a rival in the sunshine and watching new signings fit nicely into a smooth performance from the whole team. Thankfully the media have compensated for the lack of hysteria by manufacturing it and helpfully adding their word of caution. What would we do without them (if you exclude celebrating their demise)?

I was impressed with Sanogo's performance. He's just missing that goal to set him off. His all round play is very good and really helps keep our attacking moves flowing. We were very fluid in the first half and it looks like that combo may cause some damage for other teams. Makes good runs, can play in front of defenders to do the lay offs or run in behind. Could be a big season for him.

That's kind of the problem with him, he's always missing that goal, he just seems incapable of scoring, I'm not sure how much use a forward who doesn't score is.

He needs to get it right. But he may just find his feet and then explode. It's not the first time he's lead the line and noticed the difference in our tempo. I think he should get a good run in the line up and see what happens. He's creating chances for others at least and we don't look at static.
