So as not to bog down the Nonsense thread and actually leave it for Nonsensical stories.

Anyway, Pulis is apparently on the verge of leaving Palace:

That would be two seasons in a row we'd be playing them after the sacking of their manager.

There was an old person of Skye,
Who waltz'd with a Bluebottle fly:
They buzz'd a sweet tune,
To the light of the moon,
And entranced all the people of Skye.

Spuds chucking shit at Theo - no sanctions. Jack sticking a finger in the air - banned. Suarez biting somebody - victim somehow survived, Suarez banned forever. Priorities, priorities. PR always trumps safety, more money in it.

Embarrassing for Chambers to be connected in any way to those tossers, especially after such a great start at Arsenal.

Throughout history, English CBs have been right up there with the Italians. It's always been a position of strength for England. Even in the last World Cup, Jagielka and Cahill are excellent CBs (Terry is still better but he's not picked). He'll be competing against very good CBs for club and country so to 'make it' he'll have to be world class in the next 5 years.

That's right - 5 years. So why not give him some time to get stuck in at Arsenal before catapulting him into the circus? Right now the assholes are on a "new era" kick because they got shown up so badly at the WC. Or so they say, because then they turn around and make one of the biggest culprits the captain. Clueless cunts who have no idea how to build a team that can compete. It's all media and publicity and hype that drives them, not solid football principles. They fucked Walcott. They actually claimed Ox getting injured ruined their tournament. Then everything becomes a case of the player being level headed enough to laugh that shit off. Journos should be electrocuted for every story they get wrong or every bit of hype that doesn't pan out. Then they'd be fucking careful.

See my reply in the other thread. It's different for attacking players. And I don't think they've fucked Walcott. All our British players have just been too unlucky with injuries to develop as much as they should've. Being involved with England hasn't had much to do with it IMO.

Half those injuries have come when fucking about on pointless International "duty". Not just for England either, the Lion's share of RvC's injuries came from playing Internationals. And there's a long and established record of Wenger being fucked over when asking for consideration in terms of playing time, whereas Ferguson was accommodated. Does Alexis need to fly halfway around the world too? There's no up-side for the club and the player gets to wear a meaningless cap in anticipation of being part of the next humiliation on the big stage. Just give the trophy to the Germans and scrap this waste of time. We have enough injuries and distractions to worry about already.
