Hibbert is playing, that'll help.

And yes it's very odd Martinez may be treating the Europa League with importance - when the winner goes to the Champions League this season.

With how Everton are defending (yes, even worse than Liverpool) and the history of the fixture, you can't look beyond a Liverpool win.

Hope it's mental and high-scoring though.

Hibbert starting :(.

Liverpool will win. Anything other than a win would make you join Arsenal in the crisis league. Home advantage is the only thing that matters in derbies. I hope.

Logically we probably should. They haven't won at Anfield for something like 15 years. 15 years today...

MotD2 was pretty hilarious, I thought.

In their "inspiration" section, defending ROOOOONEY of course, it was just a montage of hideous tackles, fouls and eventually plain old assaults from various "leaders" like Keane, Gerrard and Vieira. Not the times where they actually picked a team up and led them, but where they kicked the shit out the opposition. All in the name of glossing over and for all intents and purposes justifying the red card.

They also showed ROOOOONEY'S rousing Gladiatorial motivational speech against Leicester.... ignoring the fact everyone was ignoring him and they fucking lost. Brilliant leadership that.

McNamara That Ghost...
29-09-2014, 09:49 PM
Vieira for me was more of an example on how to play and infuence a game then neccesarily being a 'great' captain. My abiding memory of Vieira is picking the ball up from midfield and just motoring past everybody.

It's no surprise though, this is what a captain is expected to be in England. The idea of captaincy is way overdone anyway I say.

McNamara That Ghost...

I don't understand how Mignolet was supposed to know Jagielka would strike it in that way and combined with how it curls away from him anyway.

Shaqiri Is Boss
29-09-2014, 09:56 PM
Why should anyone listen to a right back on goalkeeping anyway? He uses a stylus. He must be innovative. Lets listen. The guy talks utter bollocks.

Saying that, Mignolet has definitely regressed and it's all-but certain we'll be getting a new keeper at some point. But shot stopping is easily his strongest point. It's quite odd how one cross he'll scream and collect it. Then next one that comes in he'll hide. Picking out that goal of all goals to criticise him though is just weird. An ugg swipes a leg with a gazillion in one chance of it hitting the target swerving like a Roberto Carlos wet dream. Must be his fault. And then about how he held his tongue last season when "he noticed" other examples of it. 'Course you did.
