Clasic demonstration. Alexis positive, gets the attack rolling. Ramsey delays it and then send it all the way back.

Remind me where the goalposts are today. Is it the result or the performance that's most important?
It has to be all about the result. Mainly because I won't see any of the performance.

Bif not even jumping now. Tragic performance from him tonight. When this guy loses confidence he does it in spectacular style.

That's an appalling miss by Theo. He had half the goal to hit and no challenge coming in.

People, please give the team credit for this win
I dont think we have anything to moan about, we have had the toughest drwa and managed to come away with the win.

FT 1-2
All 3 goals scored by us. Spuds are poor by any measure. That must have been close to their first 11 too.
Ox decent in patches. The rest of them little bit shit except for a couple of moments from Flamini and Alexis when he came on.
Bif should be dropped forever after that performance. Guy couldn't be arsed.

You have to be happy whenever we beat Spurs. The opposition is the only thing that made this match matter.

Fairness to the manager, it needed changing, and he made that change. Cant argue with that bit.

I think number 4 is out now, so another one due in about the time Wenger renews his contract

Knock it off. There's only one subject in everything you post, and that's Wenger's dick and how long and juicy and suckable it is. You even managed to post a thinly veiled Wenger tribute after the chav game.

Like I said on the other thread. Absolutely couldn't fault Wenger for his line up today. And we won. At Shite Hart Lane. And they only scored thanks to an O.G. Not an evening for criticism, IMO.

Still waiting for a decent performance. An indication this team is clicking on some level and that something can be built on the back of it. Performances like tonight are getting old, regardless of the score. Too much seems to be left to chance, no planning is evident, I mean there's no way Wenger picked Flamini for his goal scoring prowess, that was Bif's role and he was absolutely woeful and showed no signs of justifying Wenger's stupendously dumb faith in him.
We can celebrate a win over the spuds on their own patch, certainly. But tbf they were so poor do we even consider them a worthy adversary any more? Even up against that lot did we put together a decent passage of play tonight, where we looked like we had some idea of what we were trying to do? Alexis was positive when he came on, but the fact he was trying to hook up with a now badly off form Ramsey and an apparently disinterested Giroud blunted most of what he brought.
The old timer Flamini, much maligned because frankly he's not the player we need if we're going to make a serious challenge, had to come on and show our regulars how to control a ball, how to shoot, how to keep composure. That's not something to be ignored or brushed away on the back of the result.
I have missed our organised and purposeful football, I'd love to see that come back. I don't know why the team looks so disjointed, no matter what starting eleven are put out, and I don't know why so many decent players are performing under-par. We'll still pick up results because these remain good players and we have a fairly strong squad, but where are we going with this consistently low level of performance?
As much as I agree about most of that, we have to take the wider context of the league into view. Bar teams like Leicester and West Ham that are playing way above their level, the standard of the league is atrocious. We know that. We laugh and comment about it most weeks. We are nowhere near immune from that. The last few seasons have been the same. We've continually pubbed results, even on our 'false' run in the second half of last season. Beat the pub teams in the lower half of the league = keep top four. So I don't expect us to click. I don't expect us to find much of a rhythm. Like yourself I'll call out shit when I see it, whether that is on some other joke of a Premier team or ourselves because we deserve more and have higher expectations but c'mon, we are deluding ourselves if we think for a minute that we are going to form into a solid, cohesive unit. Perhaps we could only park football it along for so long before the cracks started to show even more, like this season. Yet, look around us. Who in the wider context is going to trouble our current top four malaise? Tottenham, Liverpool, Everton or Swansea? We'll struggle to beat them and the others above us but we'll pub enough to retain the status quo. Is that enough? No of course not. We both know that. But it's what we are stuck with under the current manager and in this present sub-standard league.
