LeRoy Rosenior just stated on TV that Lee Cattermole is 27 yrs old. That cant be right. This chap has been crunching opposition ankles for at least 12 years. I remember him throwing it about against Vieira ffs.

Just Googled it. 27:yikes:
He looks at least 10 years older

I wonder what the stats are for teams with a lead sitting back and conceding instead of pushing for another goal. If you've got the lead by playing a certain way then keep on playing that way FFS. This "holding on" bullshit is definitely boring but I bet it's non-productive in most cases too.

Disappointing in the end, they should look at it as a point gained as they deserved to lose that game all day long

Still though as long as they keep on being dog shit away from the Etihad that suits me down the ground

Thing is now we need to get our act together away from home, five wins from six first six away games and now one win from six

And frankly we are still to play Spurs, United (shit at the moment but someone remind me last time we went there in the league and won, think it had a six in it), City.

Yes we've had injuries coming out of our ears, but can't blame injuries for Southampton that was a first class disgrace.

Dele Ali is really good. 19 FFS.

It annoys me that he's from Milton Keynes and also played for the same Sunday League team I did growing up.

Come on United, raid Spurs like you used to.

You could've been a contender...

Although the hilarious thing is that we've been called out so many times as the team to drop out of the top four, yet Liverpool, Utd and Chelsea have all gone to shit.

We can point fingers at Wenger for many things but he's at least kept the club at a respectable level, every season. Never turned us into an absolute joke that these clubs have become now.

:good:

I've seen so much balls on here about how Wenger is unsackable and under no pressure :blah:
People massively underestimate how hard it is to keep a team in the top 4 every single year for so long. Who else has managed it? Fergie (who IMO was and is the GOAT), but no-one else.
He's not been sacked because he's delivered what the board expected of him.
That shouldn't be the limit of our ambitions, I don't believe it is and there have been seasons when we should have done better. But we're now in a position to compete, so far we are, long may it continue.

 That's cos noone gives a sh*t about top 4 in the long term, they want to get there to get in the CL but then they want to try and win the title and sometimes in trying to do so they sign the wrong players and it goes wrong.

Noone will care or remember him getting top 4 for 15 years running in 50 years because it's not an memorable achievement and doesn't go down in the record books

Ferguson didn't manage top 4 finishes - he managed title wins, right up until the end. At the outset Wenger was up there fighting with him and often surpassing him. In the last decade it was a no-contest, the two could not be compared by any measure other than longevity. Longevity isn't a virtue by default. Look at Sepp Blatter for instance.

But they will remember Chelsea's relegation battle, Utd's descent into non-existent football and Liverpool turning into Everton.

Ferguson did not have to finance and build an brand new big stadium without going into debt and without having the finances to buy top players. Nor did Morinho. We will never know if they would have been able to do what Wenger has achieved. Morinho most certainly would not have been able to do it because his oversized ego would prevent him doing such a long term piece of work.

Now that the debt is dealt with and the stadium built, we are buying the players and we are challenging for the title.

Stones has been been making mistakes nearly every game recently and is the only ever-present of a porous defence.

But it was pre-ordained before his birth by the British media that he was the undisputed greatest, along with Kompany and Terry, so no criticism will be forthcoming. Ever.

Yes but he can control the ball.

If anything I wish Chelsea had actually paid the £40 million for Stones last summer. He's so over rated.

Everton wil struggle to get 25 next summer.

Stones again. :haha:

Still Barca-bound for £80m?

I actually think he'll be a really good player, but the pathetic fawning just because he can control a football is beyond ridiculous.

Well the Kompany myth still lives on. Amongst many others.

Myth and hype is what fuels the game now, so he'll go to United/Citeh/Chelsea for at least £50m.

Nah he'll go for a hilarious sum, whether it's this summer or next. Same with Barkley and Lukaku. It's interesting actually what Everton should do; they'll get an absolute shed load for them but like most PL clubs now they don't need the money, clubs will see them coming a mile off and they lose essentially the spine of the team.

I think out of the three though Lukaku will be off quickest, mainly because his agent seems like a snake.
