Over complicating everything with the result being a lot of frantic possession that leads to nothing.

This game typified our season for me, from the sublime to the ridiculous.
We'll finish 3rd or 4th, the game at the Etihad will be the decider.

Nothing to say 2-0 up and you should hold on to win.

You should, but you'd never bet the farm on us.

Just waiting for the usual "good character" bullshit from the Mad Professor and then we're done.
Can't see there being a st totteringham day this year. Hang your head Wenger.

Literally who gives a fuck if we finish above Spurs or not (which I think we still will, I think united will get something today) that's not the yardstick by which we should be measuring anything.
Leicester have performed fantastically well this season, having won 20 out of 32 games is a phenomenal achievement for a side like them, having only lost three times (twice to us) is also amazing. But you look at the points we've dropped and there's no question we should be winning this thing.
Anfield, Upton Park and White Hart Lane should have been wins for us
We shouldn't have been getting beaten by a ridiculously depleted United at old Trafford.
Chelsea at home ?, Swansea and Southampton at home? Need I go on?.

I care about finishing above Spurs. I know it's inconsequential but if we don't have one over them what have we got left? :violin:
This season has been one big fat joke, so I'm going to cling on to whatever I can.

Arsenal fans?
Is that a trick question?

I know what he means. Everything else about the club has been destroyed so if we're reduced to finishing above the spuds as an ambition then it reinforces how small this club has become. Even so, holding on to the last rung is the first step in fighting back. Hopefully one more season of punishment under the quack in charge and then a real manager can come in and use that last rung to begin clawing back lost ground.

It would be a crumb of comfort. The only crumb we can get now this season. We might as well have it if we can.

Feel the same way about finalising above Spurs - I couldn't care less.
Our expectations for this club have to be a lot higher and taking comfort from finishing above a shitty little club down the road is exactly the sort of target they would set for themselves.

It shouldn't be our target, but that doesn't mean it wouldn't be nice - can you imagine the crowing from them if they do finish above us?
As I said it's a crumb of comfort. Not a big one but I'd rather have it than not.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. We'll win the next 4 IMO, Spurs will drop points. We'll see.
If there aren't then there aren't but I'll take them if I can. I can't begin to think why any Arsenal fan would say they don't care about this.

It is a defence mechanism in some cases.
In relation to international fans, there is is in many instances less of a perceived rivalry with the Spuds. While in Canada and Ireland,I hated Liverpool and Man Utd more because it was fans of those Clubs I gave/received grief from. Spurs hardly mattered at all. That has since changed for obvious reasons.
While we're talking about what we can't begin to think, I can't begin to think why any Arsenal fan that has been paying attention would think we'll win the next four.

If we lose next week then I guarantee we'll win the 3 after that. And if we lose the next 2, bank on us winning the 2 after. But just say we lose the next 3. Without a doubt we'll win the following match. And if we lose all 4, we should wait until the end of next season to make a judgement.

I want to finish above spuds, just to wipe the smile a bit off all the gloating tosspot Spurs fans I know. It's why I'll now be cheering on Leicester every step of the way.

The title's gone, they're easy games. We tend to go on a run in such circumstances - the performances in the last few games have already picked up.

This is not WUMming at all. This is what some of the Wenger gobblers are starting to put out there. He's here until the end of next season so let's get behind him. That would be a fatal mistake. certainly he's here for another season but if things are made comfortable for him he'll be here a lot longer than that.

Like last season when the title was gone and we lost at home to Swansea and drew with Sunderland because 4th was guaranteed..
No one can be assured that we'll go on a winning run. Wenger and our Board don't give a shit about finishing above Spurs. There is nothing for them to play for unless fourth place gets in jeopardy.
