HT 0-1

Spuds not that great tbf. They battle though and it seems they want to win. They seem to have a manager who wants to win too. He's doing all sorts of weird shit like issuing instructions from the touchline.

They have that Kane bloke who has made the difference.

Is he one of those people that when someone puts the ball near him, he hits it in the net thing? If he is I reckon we would do much better if we had one of those guys in our team.

He's crap. Goes straight for goal. Doesn't even try a 17 pass sequence on the edge of the box.

A sick part of me would be happy to see WUMger blown to pieces if the Spuds won the title but it's not worth it.

He will still get a good kicking if/when Leicester do it anyway.

Wenger will have his excuses lined up if Spurs win it. "Looook, let me tell you that it is the first time they have won the league since I've been here, I told everybody a team could win it without spending money". "Looook I'm absolutely convinced we will win it next season, I will not be making any additions to the squad we don't need anybody and nothing needs to change"

There's only one more way this guy can fuck-up and that's to finish below Utd. Either way, he's spend millions of quid to make the squad worse. Vardy being banned means Satan is still lurking around and this time he means business.

Spurs winning the league would be the worst thing that could happen to a Gooner, it's a living nightmare.

Leicester have to keep their nerve but it's worth noting that Ranieri has a history of choking (at Roma he had a great season, was unbeaten in 23 but chocked in the final game and lost out, at Chelsea too and at Valencia as well)

We need Chelsea to wake up for one more game, their fans can't have spurs winning it so will have to make sure the players turn yp.

Otherwise it's good bye from me... and every Gooner...

At least you can put Leicester winning the league down to once in a generation, stars aligning, Satan taking a year off weirdry. Oddly it seems more difficult to do that for Spurs, given how they've built the team in the last few years.

But still, Spurs winning the league? Spurs?! Thank God Everton are still shit.

Spurs aren't winning shit, so their fans can celebrate finishing second in the league like they've just won their fifth Champions League trophy in a row.

You maybe right about this season but I personally think they are a real problem for us now and won't be going away, they are almost the opposite of us, they have a fixed team with a fixed system whilst we experiment playing players all over the place without a plan or a system.

It will be interesting to see how they fare with a stronger Chelsea, City, Liverpool and possibly Man Utd kicking around too. We know at least we have been able to slog around underwhelmingly slog around in 3/4th. What they have to look out for are the vultures coming in to take away their best players in the next season or two, the manager also. British players are well known to be mercenaries, so Utd/City/Chelsea can still pick them off yet. They are building a strong base but are still a selling club, especially with the big stadium project going through.

Either way, talking about crying, or not watching our team again if they win the league is pretty sad.

Marc Overmars
19-04-2016, 08:38 AM
We found it difficult to keep our best players because 3rd/4th was our ceiling. Spurs are in a position we haven't been in for 12 years and if the perception is that they are now genuine challengers every year, their transition will be a lot smoother than ours was because they're a better team.

Also with the TV deal and now CL money, they won't experience the same level of financial strain as we did either.

Niall_Quinn
19-04-2016, 09:45 AM
Spuds and Leicester aren't great teams. They are very well organised teams filled with players who are prepared to work for a living. As much as it sticks in the throat, they are the two teams most deserving of being where they are this season and either (gulp) would be a worthy champion. West Ham have shown similar dedication, but as for the "big" clubs, all their precious little darling players have been shown up as the spoilt and privileged brats they have become. Far too busy worrying about contracts to focus on the basics. This is what happens when the money becomes the main focus. The gypos have acted fast to bring Pep in. He'll sort the mess out I'm sure. Klopp will sort things out at Liverpool. Both will be strong next season. Don't know much about the new chav in charge. Sounds a bit of a nutter really. They could be in just as much shit next season.

Ourselves and Utd are the real joke outfits though. Two old dinosaurs plodding around pretending they know what the fuck is going on. If Utd keep the genius then they'll be nowhere again, and of course we'll be 4th. So the spuds have a chance to step up a level if they do some decent business in the summer. Leicester surely can't hold for another season at the top. Although nobody supposed they could do it this season either. That Kante bloke wants away by the sounds of it and they'll have a tough time holding on to Mahrez.

Only one at the moment, but that depends on the outcome of an FA charge for misconduct as a result of getting the two yellows.

100 PL goals for Aguero. 2nd fastest to reach the milestone in history.

2 goals behind Kane and level with Vardy in the golden boot race. Quite impressive really considering he's missed a lot of games.

I hadn't actually seen that properly until later on this morning. It was directly opposite me in the ground and I only saw Moysee's cheesy grin in the pub after the game. Hideous tackle so I'll exclude him. So stupid to do it the game before a Wembley SF though, especially when your team has got 1 fit centre back. And your team is shit.. The rest were just humiliated though.

That's one thing about Lukaku though. When he's not in a game he is a liability.
