I think the problem is, no one really cares what he has to say any more.
Yeah. I think I'm one of those people but when I do look at things he says (usually prompted by people frothing at the mouth on here) it's pretty standard stuff.
Sort of things he's always said which in happier times didn't raise an eyebrow.

Wenger is totally irrational though Letters. I wouldn't be so against him if he fessed up and tried to put things right but he always has an excuse or some kind of answer to why things aren't as they should be.
It's not even just that, now he is implying people are over-reacting and that things aren't as bad as they seem, like it's the first time we have collapsed at this point in the season. He's boring, he's not fooling anybody either.
Even in the interview that MO linked, he tried to get smart with the reporter at one point when he was questioned about his future and whether it was good for team morale etc.

The problem is people don't want him to manage the team anymore because he keeps failing at the same point in the season and reproducing the same mistakes. He won't even acknowledge that, if he did he would try something different but he won't.

That's the point I was going to raise. He got all defensive when asked if his contract situation was causing instability and tried to wave his senior citizen experience badge as he usually does. He's a hypocrite because when a player is in a similar situation with prolonged contract talks, he'll sometimes bench them if they seem distracted. He knows it can happen and can't be stupid enough not to think that his stance is harming the club.

Every season when it goes tits up, we all need to get some perspective, as though this is a rare and unheard of situation we find ourselves in.

Would you not say though at the same time had he already signed a new contract and the results were still piss poor that the excuse of contract uncertainty goes away. Wenger is not admitting that it's causing uncertainty but he's letting the papers run with that narrative so that it smokes screen another question of "are these players not playing for you".
I've never heard him admit previously that the squad needs an overhaul, it's always been one or two players.....I think he knows the players aren't responding to him, but that obviously it's the players that are to blame and not him.

I know it's comical, he's such a hypocrite!

Wenger needs to say ONE thing - Goodbye.
Otherwise, who gives a fuck what this guy says? Heard it all before, over and over and over again. A decade of the same old shit and he's done FUCK ALL to change the situation. His big con trick is trying to pretend there's no recurring theme here, that we are facing new problems and challenges. Bullshit. Nobody with half a brain is fooled by you Wenger. An people with a whole brain just laugh. Or they would do if your being here wasn't so detrimental to Arsenal Football Club.
GTFO. Go and write your book.

Well that kind of coincides with what Letters is saying that whilst he is here everything he says is going to raise the hackles of Arsenal fans. And no I don't think that's unreasonable either.
Wenger's attitude is that of an ordinary day in the office when it should be end game. That he seems so comfortable when given the thin gruel we've got as performances he should be acting like he has the figurative snipers aiming at his heart.
So largely what Wenger says is ordinary and banal, and that's what is pissing people off.

The latest mumbo jumbo from the loon.
Yup. I got a far as, "we've had bad results and we are not where we want to be, " and couldn't be bothered reading any more.
All I want is for him to fuck away off.
Surely that is not unreasonable?
We send £12m a year to Wenger
Let's spend it on hookers instead.

Nothing that's essential is unreasonable - old Chinese proverb, probably.

Kelly Smith is a winner. So she really doesn't know what the fuck she's talking about when it comes to the men's team.

She has blasphemed. Let her be smote, so sayeth the the word of the Wenger god and his media disciples. For she hath sinneth in the eyes of the Wenger god and so she is impure. And the impure shall perish or pay the world's highest ticket prices - their choice.

Arsene Mugabe doesn't allow others to interfere with his affairs so I expect Kelly Smith to be jobless within the next couple of weeks.

What do you guys think Gazidis' role in this is? He hasn't said a word in ages and he's the one who should be pressuring Wenger into announcing what he's gonna do.
Is Gazidis a wenger out type or is he another puppet along with the other board members.

Nobody even bothered with a match reaction thread. Worst it has ever been, never been as meaningless as this.
Meanwhile, in case anyone is remotely interested, Wenger speaks.
