Huge game, one of our bogey grounds in recent years against the champions. Do we have the right players to go there and win? Definitely. However, as we have seen over the years, the players either don't prepare for this game and self destruct by giving away two cheap goals or the manager picks the wrong team and formation. I hate sitting here khowing the same thing will probably happen, we will go there and get spanked. Concede the first goal, defend like a bunch of amateurs and completely fail to turn up or prepare for the ocasion.

My team would be (433):

Cech
Bellerin
Mert
Kos
Kolsinac
Coq
Xhaka
Ramsay
Ozil
Alexis
Lacazette

2 DCMs with Ramsay just in front and Ozil on the right, Alexis left and Laca up top.

If this is our stating 11, i reckon we can win 2-1.

However, the manager will let likely choose a completely different team and we'll lose 3-0

Last 5 games, 5 losses, 15 conceded, 2 scored.

A record that should get any manager sacked.

If we win then Wenger has improved his record from catastrophically, cataclysmically, unbelievably awful, to catastrophically, unbelievably awful.

We go into the game with the same old hope and expectations, neither of which will be met.

We need Wenger to be sacked BEFORE this game to stand a chance.

Its time for Arsenal to once again show how bad they are.

I don't just want defeat, I want humiliation.

I want at least 6-0 and maybe more, I think Arsenal can do it, especially if its shocker and the welsh idiot in midfield.

We all know this game is already lost in the Arsenal players minds but I want another battering, this time worse than ever.

Wenger the fuck out and this is the ONLY way.

Oh come off it.

Be against the manager, by all means. Just about everyone is with you on that.

But do you SERIOUSLY want the club to go down the drain in your pursuit of one man? Does that mean the cunt really is bigger than Arsenal FC?

Only if we let him be.

Coquelin is a bit dead tbf.

Just read somewhere he's dead for 3 weeks.

In that case Manitland starts. We can't go into a big away game with two Non disciplined midfielders. Chelsea will look at the Liverpool game and see how we were overran in the middle and do the same thing to us.

There's so much attention on this match and pressure on us to perform that I think we may just do it. Tbh, we've beaten Chelsea 3 out of the last 4 times so our recent record isn't that bad.

Though it'd be like that Man City away game a few years back, a blip that's not going to fundamentally change Wenger's approach to matters.

Bellerin, Saed

I'd be happy to see Ozil, Sanchez and Welbeck play and even Theo who has often played well against Chelsea. Even more important though is how we work as a team and what we do in midfield so I think the actual exact line up is secondary.

Can't for the life of me objectively see an away win but I live in hope.

I realistically don't see us picking up any points in the games against any of the top 5 away from home, Spurs maybe as they have struggled at Wembley, but getting anything from Chelsea, Man City or Man Utd is not realistic IMO.

I think it will be a routine comfortable loss at Stamford Bridge tomorrow, I also think Wenger will get the team and tactics wrong.

"I feel very attached, even now, to Arsenal. My feelings for the club, well I don't have to repeat myself, every single time we play against them, because it's known. Whoever doesn't believe me, or doesn't feel it is this way, is not right. I know how I feel, my family does, and that's all that matters to me.

"Once I made the decision to leave Barcelona, Arsenal had the first option, and Barcelona had the obligation to contact Arsenal first. Then they had a week to basically respond yes or no to the buy-out clause.

"I knew Chelsea were on the side, among other clubs, but after I spoke to [Jose] Mourinho in the meantime he convinced me that it was a great place to come. The week passed, Arsenal never responded, never contacted me either, so I took it as them having enough players in their squad, so I made my move to Chelsea.

Fabregas was an integral part of Chelsea's title-winning campaign last season
Fabregas was an integral part of Chelsea's title-winning campaign last season
"Because I felt they wanted me the most, Jose spoke to me in a way that not many have spoken to me before, and I knew what he wanted from me. He motivated me so much in that meeting that my choice was very easy.

"I love Arsene, the man. I love him of course as a coach too. This is a decision he made. I always said that he's like a father to me, and he will always be."

Fabregas has enjoyed a huge resurgence in form since last summer, when his future at Stamford Bridge looked uncertain.

He said: "I'm the type of guy that when I'm told I can't play under this type of manager, not with his style, if you tell me this some fire comes inside me, and I want to prove everyone wrong. And that's what I did, and hopefully I can keep it up for as long as I can.

"Because mentally I feel like a boy that is only just starting, and physically I feel very, very well. It's all about the attitude and hunger to do well for the team and yourself."

Hopefully Iwobi drops back to cover for Ramsey when he goes for a stroll. If he does it might be a good thing that Ozil isn't playing, defensively at least. Or better yet Ramsey can do his job for once.

Why is Iwobi playing when he also played on Thursday but hasn't started any other games? Iwobi didn't even have a good game on Thursday but is starting over Alexis.

Whatever the case, it boils down to stupidity. Trying to make a point in the final year of a players contract makes no sense now. We should have made that point last year and then sold him on.

It has nothing to do with Ozil. It has everything to do with Ramsey and Xhaka discovering a bit of discipline. Ozil would have done far better than Iwobi in there today. And of course Alexis should have been the first name on the team sheet. 18 goals in his last 28 PL games and the one player who can pull out a special moment and make the difference. I know it's not in the spirit of the game but our players really need to start hounding the ref a lot more when it comes to incidents like that .... it's that sort of shithousery that helps influence decisions into your favour.

God forbid that Wenger actually instructed him not to do so after noticing that Chelsea have subbed on Bakuyko.

Apart from the odd lapse on the flanks, our defence is playing very differently today. Far more coverage and man marking, far less frantic chasing around. Has Wenger handed it over to somebody who knows what they are doing?

Poor game from Lacazette all things considered - seems like he just froze.

After his interview where he mentioned wanting to play in tough away games being a reason for him coming to the PL, you'd think he'd be sharper today.

Exactly what Wenger wanted. Chavs there to be beaten today.

Bif absolutely hopeless. What was the point of him?

Elneny sub sums Wenger's ambitions, or lack of them to be precise, up to a tee.

2 dropped points. We were the better team. Chavs so ordinary today.

Welbeck injury upset the balance and left Wenger with a choice. He chose to race to the bottle bank without his bottle.

I would have taken a draw before the game but I'm with NQ on this one. Chelsea were poor too and we should have gone for it.

We defended reasonably well (even though we let Pedro get through on goal with a typical Arsenal mistake). Ramsey, Welbeck and Iwobi worked hard and didn't let them have too much time on the ball. That's all great and hopefully they keep doing that every game, especially Ramsey, otherwise what's the point?

But whenever we got on the ball we ran out of ideas. Everyone just standing on the spot waiting for something to happen. We had no shots on goal in the second half, and even when Luiz got sent off we couldn't create a single opportunity.
