There's a Debate special on Sky later for this with Champagne Charlie to run us down along with Bellamy.

At a neutral ground we can beat them if we turn up and perform like last season in the semis. However, we don't know if the players will start the game with the right attitude or not. We need to attack them and not stand off and show too much respect like we did to Spuds. First goal is key and any defensive mistakes will have to be ironed out.

I don't think Ospina is a good enough keeper to rely on, he is flappy and rash. He doesn't fill me with confidence and I hope Cech (who needs replacing) starts.

If we attack them we win.

If we try to defend, we lose.

Everybody in the world knows that - except one man.

--------------Ospina----------------

-----Mustafi---KOS---Monreal-----

Bellerin---Xhaka---Wilshere---Kol

-----Ramsey----Auba-----Ozil-----

Tempted to play Iwobi in Kolasinac's place but don't want to play neither of them ideally.
Also going forward, Ozil will probably need to drop into midfield with Ramsey doing what he is naturally desperate to do in making runs up field. Hopefully he would do this Freddy Ljunberg style.

Dude :haha:

Unless we have become so small time that a Milk Rumbelows Rover Humber Trophy triumph can save our arsehole fuck-up of a manager's neck, and I'm hoping we're haven't shrunk to that level yet, I think it's safe to win this one.

Besides, once those scummy gypos take to the pitch it doesn't really matter who is playing them, I always want the other team. Unless, possibly, it's Utd and if the asteroid option is off the table. Or Barca.

Or the spuds.

Or maybe the chavs.

Well fuck it. When it's us playing them it's a bloody easy decision.

dostoy
24-02-2018, 04:21 PM
But surely with a trophy win, however small, you will be strengthening his already very strong position.

Winning this very tiny cup weighed against a heavy defeat which will surely strengthen the feeling that he has to be replaced.

The end does not justify the means.

I don't mind Man City its the Spuds I dislike intensely.

I don't like the idea of fucking about with trophies because you might not get a chance again for some time.

Personally I think Wenger is doing shit enough in the league for this to be forgotten by the time May comes around.

I hope we don't win this trophy so that one day we can win trophies.

This is a very small trophy, it will also mean that Wenger joins the list of managers to have won all 3 domestic trophies.

I don't want him on that list because of the absolutely diabolical job he is doing now.

The ONLY way Arsenal will win the PL or the CL or even get into the top 4 in the league is with a new manager.

You cannot want him gone that much if you want him to win a trophy.

I want no redeeming factors come the end of the season, I want total failure then maybe, just maybe, his time will be up.

If Arsenal finish 6th, lose tomorrow and lose overall to AC Milan, I would still not be confident at all that he will lose his job, but you never know.

The only way the really good days will return like Arsenal challenging for the PL and the CL on a regular basis is with a new manager.

Wenger cannot do it any more and must leave as soon as possible, which is May/June this year.

If we win I can already hear Wenger at the presser after
"This win shows the belief and great spirit in this team. It shows that we can compete with the best and that our squad is full of quality. I can assure you that this squad with a few additions can compete on all fronts next season. Even this season is not gone. we can use this trophy as a launching moment for a surge to the PL title. Now it may look difficult now, but not mathematically impossible. I have big belief in this squad of players, the best since my time here...and I know what i am talking about. I have been in this game a long time and I know that you can never write anybody off. We will play and compete for the title until the last day and surprise many of you sitting here"

That's it though, isn't it? We're FANS. Unlike that cunt of a manager and the shits that run the place. We're the fans. Fanatics. That's what they abuse to make their cash. But still, our whole reason for being is to support the team through to a win. That's our bit. Fuck the manager if he can't do his bit. Fuck the owner for being a long distance, abusive, know nothing cunt. Fuck them all. But our job is crystal clear. It's what being a fan is all about. Wenger being sacked is an extremely unlikley event not matter the combination of circumstances.....so it is frivolous wishing we lose this well on some vague and quite far fetched belief it will lead to his sacking.

If we are going to hope for unlikely events why not try the following on for size:

We finish top 4, somewhere between 2-4 above Spurs and go the rest of the season unbeaten
Win the Europa League
Win the Carabao cup

Win the CL next season
Win the League next season
Wenger leaves with his legacy in tact

I truly hope I never hear or see another person criticize Lacazette again.

Auba has played about 2 games and a half. And literally 3 chances have been created for him.

We have mids and wingbacks that have consistently shown they can't create chances no matter who is at the striker position.

Remember when everyone thought with a faster striker we'd see the best of Ozil?

Think Jack dived there.

I did not see what happened with the second incident, but with the first one with Fernandinho, it was a blatant dive. As was the one by Monreal earlier, although he apologised.

He didn't have a 5 yard start, they were practically level when they both started sprinting

I tend to agree but it's difficult to tell just how bad some of them are with the clown in charge.

One noticeable thing, amongst the many issues we have I should add, is the real lack of pace through the squad now. Auba and Bellerin aside we really lack mobility when compared to the likes of City and Liverpool.

So the coward and the fraud sent a team out with "Please, please don't hurt us!", stamped on their foreheads? A yellow-bellied selection, a pre-game admission from a manager that knows he has fuck all with which to combat serious teams going about their serious business. Wenger's little fantasy land in which he's the emperor and there's enough money sloshing around and enough fawning pundits and still braindead cultist type fans to cover for his bollock nakedness.

What will his royal excuses be today? To add to his impressive catalogue of excuses that stretch back over a decade? How utterly ridiculous does it have to become before somebody at this club discovers they have balls and points at this prancing, stark naked, deluded fart and tells him to fuck off?
