WTF?

They've given him the club's bloody trophy??????

That's fucking outrageous.

That's a fuck you Henry. Fuck You Bergkamp. Fuck you all the rest of the players. And Fuck you to the fans.

So he IS bigger than the club after all?

He'd better give that back.

Good advice.

Some old dinosaur is telling a bunch of lies at the moment. Maybe it'll get better when the next act is on.

Second decade - tragedy, in footballing terms. All the good work undone. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Wenger has often said he doesn't give a fuck about the medals/trophies.

He'll hawk it on ebay I think.

On the actual match:

Aubameyang .

This guy is a bit awlsome.

Iwobi .

I'm not declaring him brilliant on the basis of one impressive game, but he clearly has the talent and could be a big player for Arsenal if he plays under a good coach and a proper structure.

Kola .

Welcome back to football.

Bellerin .

With the attributes he has and the positions he takes up, he should be doing this every week.

Mavro .

Lukaku last week, Barnes this week. Vokes just about survived. Vardy next? What a beast.

Wenger  .

BFG .

Dyche :haha:.

Tony Gale :haha:.

A bit weird he was given the trophy but I assume he won't leave with it.

On a side note, I'm genuinely worried that Ivan may appoint Vieira after getting the wrong idea from the crowd singing his name during the match.

BBC are already alluding to it in their match report.

Arsenal's supporters also sang the name of former midfielder Patrick Vieira, who has been among the candidates tipped to take over at the Emirates next season.

i didn't watch it as without a ticket to see it i'd just have felt left out - must admit wasn't expecting such a strong win, but at least it bodes well for next season and we avoided the shame of finishing below Burnley

but were Burnley sh*t on the day or did we really turn it on for once?

but were Burnley sh*t on the day or did we really turn it on for once?

A bit of both.

We definitely played better conisdering the occasion and Burnley I think knowing they had Europa safe weren't giving it 100%.

At any rate an attacking for of Lacazette, Auba, Ozil & Mkhitryian would be more than enough for any new manager to bear fruit from.

Not if Ozil is in bed every week.

Which he hopefully is.

Great and fitting tribute to our best ever manager.

He was forced out by the fans. Tough luck. Live with it.

Yes he was.

I was one of those fans that forced him out.

I’ll be back attending regularly next season.

He stayed way too long, but he gave us the best football I’ve ever seen and took us through an era where we pretty much had to sell off all our best players.

60,000 of whom chose to attend today, sung his name long and loud and stayed after the final whistle to say good bye.
He is far more respected, liked and admired amongst Arsenal fans and throughout football in general than you like to think.
Tough luck. Live with it.

Non-attendance was the only way to force his hand, I've said that all along.
Hit them where it hurts, in the pocket.
He outstayed his welcome but he's left us with a good squad (IMO) and the resources to bolster it.
I'm quite excited for next season for the first time in a while.
Come on, Arsenal

Thanks, just saw MOTD and Burnley certainly didn't look up for it but a good side for us, Auba and Laca could really be big for us next season

Fun day out. Thankfully the team played well and when all was said and done, Arsene got a respectful send off.

Despite everything that’s happened over the last few years, the guy is a gent and although I won’t miss him, his speech did pull on the heart strings.

Arsene.

Thanks for the memories.
