Sweden have done pretty well to be honest, very hard to beat and have dumped out Holland, Italy and Germany no mean feat.

Marc Overmars

Bit of a 50/50 game this one.

Neither side have much firepower but they've both made themselves hard to beat.

Holland and Italy were pretty shite in qualifying tbf.

Özim
03-07-2018, 09:31 AM
Italy weren't bad, they were in Frances' group though I think.

You still have to beat them and Sweden beat them over two legs. They were unlucky against Germany as well I think and topped their group in the end.

I don't really like Fed, but I respect him as a great tennis player. They hype is on, England of course, but no thread yet.:sulk:

We adopted a nut job dog 9 months ago, so we're trying him out camping tonight, tonight! I don't know if I can even watch the match. Stupid leash -reactive nut job. I have my phone, if it works.

Don’t worry about tonight, get yourself ready for the quarter final on the weekend, because England will be in it. A tenner at 14/1 for 2-0? Definitely worth a punt.

Jenas, Scott and Neville in the studio.

Lineker asking who out of the two England want in the QF's.

He's a big reason for me not caring if England fail.

McNamara That Ghost...

Sweden: Olsen, Lustig, Lindelof, Granqvist, Augustinsson, Claesson, Svensson, Ekdal, Forsberg, Berg, Toivonen.

Switzerland: Sommer, Lang, Djourou, Akanji, Rodriguez, Behrami, Xhaka, Shaqiri, Dzemaili, Zuber, Drmic.

They'll do it for Lichtsteiner.

Djourou and his mango body butter.

It won't count anyway :sulk:

Rubbish.

It will prove that Kane is the GOAT, dragging a mediocre England side to victory against the world's best like Panama, Tunisia and Belgium.

Admittedly I've only picked out the crap sides there.

Xhaka getting slated on the BBC for his pathetic display, lack of discipline, falls over too easily, does nothing, just don't understand this guy, one of the worst midfielders around, has no role in any team, badly exposed for what he is again today, really wished we'd got rid rather than signed him up for longer.

The only person not disgraceful in Phil Neville's world is the sexist, knuckle-dragging, violence-endorsing beacon of nobility staring back at him in the mirror.

Özim
03-07-2018, 04:30 PM
He's not the only one who thinks Xhaka is disgraceful, actually don't think it was him that thought he was a disgrace. Fact is Xhaka is a sorry excuse for a midfielder, sadly it looks like we're stuck with him a guy with next to no talent who has no impact on a game other than the occasional lucky shot that goes in.

Lot of drama, but quality of football quite bad.

Although, I'm sure it has been the same at most WC's.

Seem to remember enjoying the games more 4 years ago. There have been some good games - Saturday's 2 were particularly good and the 2nd half last night was very good.
Lot of duds though. Maybe every WC is a bit like that.

Think it's been a great World Cup personally, exciting games and shocks of course, if you want bad World Cups look no further than 2010 that was the most boring World Cup I've ever seen and the Vuvuzelas ruined the atmosphere of all the game to boot!

The shocks have been good, some games have been good but it's been patchy - Saturday's were brilliant, Sunday's were dull.
Overally there hasn't been that much quality.
