Had top 4 almost forced upon us and STILL managed to fuck it up.

MUST MUST win the final and get CL football back if only for the money that comes with it.

We won the trophy that counts.

Everyone knows the team with the best striker is the best team

I’m pissed off how we threw away the chance to finish top 4 but we were close (unlike last season) and we’re in the Europa League Final. Even if we lose that I think overall Emery has done enough to deserve a second season.

Well done Arse. Well done Auba. Best minutes per goal this season was Aguero with 114 mins per goal and then Auba with 124 mis per goal. That tells you a lot.

Also, proof that we should just leave the attack alone for now (in terms of departures) and sort out the defence. Really should have finished top 4 but oh well.

good performance despite Bumley trying to kick us off the park

i'd maintain i'd prefer not to have been playing Auba but he did well and stayed out of trouble, very pleased Laca didn't play.

typically dreadful defending from Mustafi who must go - his mistakes against Palace did indeed cost us top 4 in the end, though equally if Auba had scored that pel against spuds or we'd turned up against Brighton we'd also be top 4, but anyway it's good to be 6 points above Ole's juggernaut

Didn’t expect to grab an away win with that team - Burnley were up for it in the first half but went on holiday in the second.

Happy we just won to keep up the good mood around the place.

After all the brilliant goals he's scored over the last week and a half, I can't believe Aubameyang missed the simplest one and the one which would have made him the outright top-scorer.

It was a fun game, especially as the players had to overcome knives, axes, scythes, knuckle-dusters and baseball bats constantly coming at them from a group of proper honest lads.

Highlight of the match was Barnes getting booked for being barged by Leno. Mike Dean finally comes good.

I thought Willock was really good again when given a start. He is very much like Ramsey in the way he makes runs into the box and often beyond the forwards.

Mixed bag of a season.

Could yet end on a high but we could easily have finished in the top 4, no getting away from how pathetic that collapse was. There’s a lot of work for Emery to do with or without a Europa League win, need to see big improvements next season if Emery is going to justify another contract.

One more goal against Brighton and we’d be fourth  - although it probably wouldn’t have worked out like that.

Hollow victory. Fucked up 3rd spot. Glad the PL season is over.

Just watched MoTD.

How in the blue hell was Heaton not sent off?

I did wonder that at the time. So little was made of it, I thought the rule must have changed and I was being slow.
