McNamara That Ghost...

Vitoria were a lot more assured than we were. All an unholy mess really.

Martinelli proving why Ronaldo was such a fan of his growing up.

Pepe has arrived! Hopefully. Well done for the two freekicks and his overall delivery after coming on.

Emery.

Still waiting for the creativity and intensity.

Pepe Le Phew?

Martinelli and Pepe get Dick out of jail. Our midfield is shocking no matter who seems to play there, every time we lose possession up front our back line is exposed straight away. I honestly thought Emery would improve things but I just can't see it there seems to be no shape to any team he puts out. We're just too easy to play against, need to get the basic's right and become hard to beat as we have enough quality at the top end of the pitch.

yes the great finish won't pull the wool over anyone's eyes - we still failed to show any kind of cohesion or gameplan and once again made an average side look like Real Madrid

really pleased for Pepe, two brilliant free kicks, though i did think before the second one that they'd left that side of the goal vulnerable but still he had to get it in the corner - great job

Pepe has a magic left foot and we saw that tonight. Couple times he was on the left and his crossing was really good.
FBs loomed a bit rusty at times but still better than the others.
Martinelli is the new Pele.

Two great strikes from Pepe to paper over the cracks.

Was surprised he scored twice but fair play to him. I've seen him in similar positions bend the ball just beyond the top corner several times this season already....though it was in open play. His luck has changed.

Generally thought in the last two games before today he was superb in the first half.

Martinelli running around like a headed chicken nicely to unnerve the opposition. Love the fact he is so randomly good in the air. I imagine he learned it at some seal sanctuary off the coast of Brazil, because they usually don't like heading a ball.

Didnt think Tierney was as gravy as he has been, but his delivery is still good.

AMN making sure he never play another game again. Dear oh dear....

Even though we won (barely) Emery needs to go is our midfield really as bad as the form suggests?

Martinelli deserves a few starts, scores goals, works hard, really good young player, would pick him over Saka personally.

As for Emery once again doesn't cover himself in glory, made hard work of this match against a pretty average team.

Nice for Pepe to get a couple goals, hopefully his confidence will have been given a boost and he'll perform well and score a few more.

Almost feels like Emery isn't giving the midfield that much instruction which I don't imagine can actually be true. Even more worryingly, whatever he is saying to them is not working particularly well.

Guendouzi seems to thrive in those structureless basketball style games where it is back and forth but we really need to generally play the ball far quicker than we do and obviously back less.

What do we make of Mourinho sitting in the executive box last night at the Emirates? According to rumors he was invited by Raul.

Mourinho would never take over at Arsenal he would want too much in wages and do the owners really hate us fans that much?

Feels a bit like bringing David Luiz in to solve your defensive problems...

we pay ozil 350k a week to do sod all so wages wont be a problem. but Mourinho only becomes an option if the others are rehiring Wenger or sticking with Emery.

Mourinho would still be 3rd choice in that scenario.
