That was a bit of a stroll really.

Pablo Mari did alright for his first game.

Our season barely has a pulse but is still there.

Easy.

2 wins from the final but we should probably be resting players to focus on our mid table fight...

Don't agree about resting players. Who cares if we finish 6th or 7th? Who cares if we qualify for the Europa League at all, frankly. A year out of Europe might not be the worst thing.
Let's go for the cup. With the sides left it in I don't think we'll win it but when you get to the quarters you've got to feel you've got some chance.

Oh, and yes last night was pretty easy. Not a sparkling performance but we did enough.
The press are trying to pretend we weathered an onslaught in the first half which we didn't.

We could have won 10-0 with 98% possession and the press would have lauded on the 2% Portsmouth had and we were lucky to win.

A lot of people have this assumption that if we play less games our league position will actually be credible. That is largely based on other far more competent teams doing so.....I've no confidence that we would.

Last season we went on a jolly to Dubai, came back bleating on about feeling refreshed and ready and still fuhked top 4 for heavens sakes!

Yeah. Resting players has never made a blind bit of difference, for us anyway. The way I see it is if you’re good, you’re good. If you’re shite, you’re shite. Sure, rotate here and there if there are some games which we should quite obviously win (ie last night) but we’ve got nothing to prioritise and haven’t had anything to prioritise for a long time.
