Well thought I had best get the thread whilst it is officially still on.

COBRA meeting this morning. If it changes to 'delay and mitigate', whatever the fuck that means. Sporting events could be postponed.

Would be a massive pisser to the fans that managed to arrange travel to this at short notice.

Hopefully nothing changes.

As for the match, :rose:

Hopefully we can fluke ourselves a draw.

i still think even if fans can't travel they could have matches behind closed doors - i guess it depends on how much they're worried about players and staff passing things on but that's clearly much more manageable

also we're currently on the longest current unbeaten run in the PL (8 games)

if they stop the PL at this point then they would have to work out who got the Cl places - if they then judge final positions on recent performance at this point i'm guessing we'd be at least third :scarf:

And Liverpool's title will for all time have an asterisk against it :d

Technically we are top/second in the form table but will still be surprised if we take anything from it.

I hope Martinelli and Saka start.

Can't see us getting anything out of this one. Shame as 3 points keeps us in with a decent shout of 5th.

It's a bit much they have called a COBRA meeting over this. Whenever we got massacred in the past nobody felt the need to intervene in this way. Bloody nanny state.

Not entirely sure about this but the priority was to keep out the Xhakas and Mustafis who are too slow and constantly give the ball away, plus have pace in attack to move the ball quickly

i realise Nelson might not be a popular choice instead of Pepe, but for me he's shown a greater sense of team-play in attack than Pepe lately and he won't be scared of Citeh

i think Hector can link up well with him and of course Saka links up well with Martinelli on the other side (on the odd occasion Arteta actually plays them together)

Leno

Hector Socratis Luiz Mari Saka

Ceballos

Ozil

Nelson Auba Martinelli

Who's the ref? That's all that counts really. The guy on VAR too, I suppose.

Game has been postponed according to a club statement from Man City. Cowards. They should just give us the three point now tbh.

Apparently it’s Arsenal staff who have been in contact with the bloke from Olympiacos who has a cold the virus.

It's only four of our players that are going in to self-isolatio so why can't it still go ahead?

Seems like a bit of an overreaction. 13 days have passed since the Olympiakos game and no one has reported any symptoms.

I feel it’s inevitable that the season is going to be heavily disrupted now.

Then he'll just have to play martinelli with auba at the weekend

Mac76

Apparently not. I don't get it.

I think it's that we're literally one day short of the 14-day period during which symptoms would show - so if the game was tomorrow it would still be on - maybe they should just have delayed it 24 hours...

This has really fucked fantasy football btw, i can't be thw only person making transfers on the basis there was this match on :pal:

Is there any way possible that this will eventually lead to Liverpool not winning the league....

Anyway, it seems fate does not want this game at City to be played.

No but there is the next best thing of them winning it without fans present. Which would be pretty funny given how monumental this title win is for them.

To be fair a lot of us have accepted how fucking hilarious it would be after waiting 30 years to win the league (for a lot of us our whole lives), we'd be stopped by a pandemic.

If it's any consolation, no one expected you to get anything tonight anyway :ninja:
