Apart from NQ (who I dont think was taking this too seriously :) ) some of us had high hopes. :(

Kind of sad - as I think most uf us would have started the season around about here. I still think the talent in the squad could have achieved something like this if it had been managed properly. Massive under achievement for a manager exposed as being the emperor's new clothes.

Always fun to look back on these threads. Shows where our headspace was last year, this is why I couldn’t understand any defence of Arteta throughout the season. He has been failing with the team right before our very eyes.

Pound for pound, I don’t see a team in the league worse than us in relation to expectations and money spent.

That run in the middle of the season from Boxing Day onwards made me think that the run before Christmas - which was pretty much relegation form - was the outlier. Had a run like that kept going it would have been a decent enough season. But it didn't keep going and yeah, it's been poor.
With our resources it's a pathetic outcome.
