Would happily take a nice pub win, after United and Spurs dropping points.

0-1.

Desperate for us to win tonight and would happily take a scrappy 1-0 like MO stated above. I think we'll drop points though, Wolves away is always tough, they are in top form too, draw or loss for me.

Unbelievable

The whole point of a yellow is to caution the player. You can't give two in the same phase of play.

Presumably - we can just give ESR a runout, no problem

Awful ref. He has interpreted the rules completely fucking wrong.

Twat.

Up the Arsenal. Great win.

dazthegooner

Nketiah I think will need to step up even with Martinelli, Laca needs to make way for ESR.

:haha:

We never success with those.

Great result, very important win. 4th place is really hard to call. We are certainly in the mix and have cleverly removed any cup distractions so we have a chance.

You’re right, but if Arsenal present them with the rules, surely even they can’t…..wait…..oh yeah, its corrupt

I like to think it isn't because...oh what's the bloody point if it's all stacked against us (and I know that every team's fans are a bit paranoid - the big teams fans feel they're being made an example of, the smaller teams fans feel the big teams get away with murder).
But I do remember two basically identical sendings off, one for us and one for (I think) Southampton. Both clubs appealed. No prizes for guessing who succeeded and who didn't...

When you get a yellow, it’s a caution. i.e. don’t do that again. How can you caution a player if the game isn’t stopped. It’s either a straight red for persistent cuntery, or a yellow.

You can’t just wave your yellow like a windmill. What if he’d done four “yellows” in a row. Can he send him off twice??

Actually, I’ve just made a great point (hero)

If it was two red card challenges, does he get double bubble
Suspension?

What about if one isn’t a bookable offence and one is?

The fact of the matter is, fat Oliver decided that in the spirit of getting caught in the moment, he’d make himself front and centre because that’s what the game needed.

Bullshit.

And the five minutes (which now seems the norm in any game) is to keep the betting going.

I have no idea what the rules are around 2 bookings in the same phase of play.
It does seem dodgy for the reasons you’ve mentioned.
BUT, Martinelli was an idiot. He doesn’t get off Scott free. He was an idiot and gave the ref every excuse to do what he did.

Marc Overmars
11-02-2022, 07:45 AM
I don’t understand what the actual rule is, but Martinelli lost his head and can’t really have any complaints, it was worthy of 2 yellows if they were in a different phase. Seems like a bit of grey area.

Xhaka Can’t

Man U will just get awarded a penalty
