We need to step up second half, we haven't played too badly, but we look toothless going forward. Tavares has had a mare too, giving the ball away constantly and way out of position for their equaliser.

That was a huge win, probably our most important of the season. If we can avoid defeats against the Spuds and Newcastle away and beat Leeds & Everton at home then I think we'll finish 4th.

Hopefully Chelsea buckle under pressure.

Liverpool at Anfield next for the spuffs - Leeds at home for us. Big chance to put some daylight between us before we have to go to the bowl.

Next weekend could be pivotal. Can’t afford to take Leeds lightly but with Spurs at Anfield you have to say we’re big favourites now to get the job done.

Tut. Fine. After the top 2 - who are in their own little world - we are about as good as anyone. Only Chelsea have an edge over us. But a top striker is an obvious gap which stops us pushing on.

We are a work in progress. What we needed after wenger was some stability, a direction and an identity. Half of that cocktail
Requires fan buy in. So you need to grow the club within and get the backing of your fans, because we all want The Arsenal way.

Funny how solidarity breeds success. Arteta is a catalyst of that. Seems capble
of directing younger players. His problem is older established stars…which is why he shipped them all out.

If we want to push on, it’s about Arteta’s ability to get buy in from bigger more temperamental stars, who may not share that idealist vision.

This is better than I’ve seen for 20 years tbf

I am starting to really warm to Eddie TBH. He is a very good backup/squad player. I think we should keep him. Same can be said of Elneny too. They are both fairly reliable. We'll need them both for squad depth next season regardless of whether we are in CL or Europa.

Aye. It’s all been very strange.
Before Palace we were all “we need to win the next 3 before the nightmare run after that”.
Then we lost those 3, had a collective hissy fit and then won the 3 we all thought we’d struggle in.

Holding and Gabriel were really good today and you need to be against serial crossers/set-piece specialists like them.

Elneny and Xhaka, like most of the team, were lacking little bit sharpness and sloppy in the first half, but really stepped up and shut them down for most of the second.

Tomayisu was obviously not fully match fit, but he's so good defensively. I think I've seen one player go past him this season. Hope he's not a new Wolfcheer/Rosicky/Diaby.

Eddie probably isn’t the answer long term but can’t tell you how refreshing it is to actually have a striker running the channels and being a proper outlet for us. Makes a complete mockery of that statue Lacazette. Please let’s never be blinded by “hold up play” again.

only saw the highlights on MOTD but loved the way he ran at defenders and created chances. This is a guy who's decided to take things into his own hands and get noticed, good for him
