I finally got around to playing Dragon Age: Origins.

Mixed feelings. The story was great, in typical Bioware fashion.
The gameplay... I couldn't be bothered with really building a team and crafting and stuff like that, which made things difficult towards the end.

Hearing people bang on about the Last of Us Part II.

I've seen several hours of gameplay and it seems to suffer from the same po-faced drudgery that hampered RDR2 if you ask me.

Also, hearing people lavish it with praise for being so accessible. Well how come its only on one console then if its so accessible?

The first game was a masterpiece IMO and anything Naughty Dog do is usually decent, so I would have thought the hype isn’t too far off the mark.

Dragon Age 2.

Way better than Origins. It looks like a generational leap forward but it only came out a year later.
The combat is much better, more exciting. Really enjoyed it.

Gave it a quick go earlier and it is quite stunning, especially in 4K. Gaming has come a long way that's for sure.

Got a shit load of work on but I think having a PS5 staring at me all day is going to cause some delays tbf.

Cyberpunk is available on Xbox, 7 days ahead of release date supposedly. Some of the distributors released it early, it's 50% downloaded and then there's a massive day one patch. I guess some time around Dec 10 it will be ready to play and ready to crash.

False alarm. After an eternal download, which I guess means the game is there, it just says wait until the 10th. I can do that. An inevitably buggy piece of shit will be just as good a week from now.

Played Cyberpunk again for a bit. Not a single bug. Not sure what the fuss is about. If I had to criticise it, it wouldn't be for bugs, it'd be the endlessly confusing interface and the five hands you need to play it. That was the beauty of Skyrim. Such a simple interface you could play it whether you were decent at this stuff or just passing the time. Cyberpunk requires a joint masters in dexterity and memory. Good looking game but ultimately silly because it's unplayable for people who just want to pick it up and have a bit of fun. Witcher III was the same. Apparently great but I gave up on it because it's not simple enough to just run with. Still nothing out there that touches space invaders. Left, right, shoot. Mindless hours of fun. Bat and ball was good too.

Anyone else playing cyberpunk?

I've been playing for maybe 4 weeks now, i mostly really like it even though there's a lot to get the hang of and you really need to invest some time in it at the beginning

Got to say they put a real ton of work into it, it's a shame they messed up the launch

It's fun to be able to dip and out if the main plot and just go and shoot up some baddies when the mood takes you :lol:

And once you get the motorbike, travelling around the city's a lot more fun
