They've already started. Pikmin 3 just came out, then The Wonderful 101 (by the makers of Bayonetta, Devil May Cry, Viewtiful Joe) in a few weeks, Windwaker HD, Mario 3D World and Donkey Kong. Even the Sonic game could be decent. And Rayman is somewhere in there too. Wii U is the rebirth of the SNES/Megadrive/N64 with all these platformers.

Then there's Mario Kart 8, Smash Bros., Bayonetta and X in the new year.

On the 3DS, there's still Pokemon X/Y, Zelda, a new Mario Party and a new Layton on top of Luigi/Fire Emblem/Animal Crossing that have come out this year.

Thank fuck I don't have either system yet because I'd have a backlog to add to the one started in the Gamecube/Xbox days. I wish I had time to play all the awlsome. :(

It has a 30 years of Wrestlemania mode which is you replaying matches from er...30 years of Wrestlemania. However despite now being published by 2k games and not THQ, I think the gameplay is being made by the same company so I wouldn't expect much different from the last few editions.

It's difficult because maintaining a large-scale MMO is very expensive. Even the free-to-play games have microtransactions. So you can either charge a subscription or you can make every little thing a paid DLC.

Personally, I won't be paying for TESO because it doesn't look much good. I paid for WoW for long enough and TESO just doesn't look very different.

Fifa 14 will be out on PS4, most games will, the only thing which might not appear are those shitty 'DLC' pieces of shit that they tag along, but no one cares about that. GTA 5 only out on the current gen consoles afaik. I've slightly become less bothered about gaming now though, before I bought every other game coming out, I've only had Fifa/CoD for the last year / arcade PSN games. Not too fussed about GTA either.

GTA4 was far too dark, dingy and miserable.

It looks as if GTAV is going back to being bright, fun and a little bit mental. And frankly, bloody huge.

I'm just waiting until they release it for PS4... because they surely will at some point... at which point I'll probably get both. Until then I'll stick my fingers in my ears.

And probably Vice City. But never go back... it doesn't fare well on a bigger TV. Somehow San Andreas has fared worse.

1 - As GP has said, you'll need an internal 500gb HDD that fits into your system, you can't link it up to an external hard-drive.

You can get PS3s for very cheap though so for the time being, it's cost efficient.

You can use external hard drives as mass storage (not that I will know how it works for the PS) but for the Xbox it partitions off about 30GB of whatever external hard drive you might be using for that part of it.

Enjoyed what I have played of GTA so far. Driving took me a little while to get used to. There is a noticeable improvement in the presentation as a whole. The gunplay and cutscenes have a very Max Payne 3 feel which is great as its one of my favourite games of this gen.

A man was carjacked with a brick, run over and stabbed before he could power up, before being robbed of the much awaited Grand Theft Auto V video game in north London.

The 23-year-old was returning home to his last saved location from shopping when he was attacked in Colindale at 01:20 BST, police said.

The video game by RockStar Games was officially launched at midnight.

The victim, who is in a stable condition in hospital, was also robbed of a watch and a mobile, as well as any armour he had bought on the previous level.

No-one has been arrested over the attack and police have appealed for information.

A Metropolitan Police spokeswoman said: "The victim had been loading up on ammo and health kits before confronting the end of level boss and was on his way to cluckin bell when he was hit with a brick.

And yeah, some of them were really difficult with all that platforming that it required you to do. One wrong jump, and you'd lose a life. In my case, for the difficult ones, I had to do them loads of times to know the whole level really, was difficult but a good challenge.
