Even the best players do silly arse things, I’d rather they not been given route back into game but I see Xhaka has snatched it away.

Diving naw a bookable offense anymore?

Horrific from Jesus. Exactly the same as Vardy's. Slight contact and down like they've been shot

Anyway 4-2 FT

Good result, good performance for the most part but it has to be said it’s a bit of a blot to our copy book to have conceded twice. Ramsdale been a bit all over the place this season, let’s hope he settles down a bit.

Yes it was Saliba’s error for the first goal but both are guilty of not communicating

Of course. It’s another measure which favours the big clubs.

HCZ_Reborn

Anyway all joking aside

Looking at the goals we conceded again. If you go by All or Nothing, Ramsdale takes conceding goals very personally and he should be distraught with both goals.

The first goal is purely lack of communication. Saliba for me does the right thing, he doesn’t get the call from Ramsdale and so he goes to intercept. Ramsdale should have been out of his goal and claiming that.

The second goal his positioning is good to close down the space for Maddison but the fact that Maddison is able to squeeze the shot between his legs is mortifying. Bad day at the office for the keeper, and we need him to improve upon what has been a shaky start to the season.

Sigh. Not really.
The way the game has gone in the PL era has tipped the balance increasingly in favour of the rich clubs. It’s designed to keep the top few clubs noses in the trough at the expense of the rest.
This is a bad thing.
But it does also benefit us.
See?

We aren’t a big club, we don’t have a big club mentality. At the moment calling us a big club is like calling United a big club

There are two big clubs in the league currently, that’s it.

Can we become a big club again? Yes of course but it’s a long way off

Letters

Bullshit. Obviously “big” is pretty subjective, and comparative.
But there’s no metric by which we can be sensibly described as anything other than a big club.

Haven’t won a title in 18 years and counting

Haven’t even appeared in Europe’s premier competition for five years

I’d say that’s a metric by which to say we aren’t a big club

I agree it’s subjective but having a reasonably big stadium and fan base isn’t really the criteria

Newcastle are not a big club, they will likely become one though

Stadium size and fan base are part of the criteria, but so is history - and ours definitely makes us a big club.
Like it or not, Spurs are a big club - they were invited to join the European Super League ffs.
If it's just about current success then City are a bigger club than us, which they absolutely bloody aren't.

City are absolutely a bigger club than us!

If you want to make it about history, where do you draw the line? Leeds, Nottingham Forest, Aston Villa?

Xhaka Can’t
14-08-2022, 11:57 AM
Depends on criteria you use.

If City were to lose their infinite cheat button and returned to their long term historical norm, would they come close to our attendances, Worldwide fan base, TV coverage and would they even be a consistent presence in the top flight?

If you think, infinite cheat is the measure, then yeah, you’re right. City is big. The biggest.
