Potentially tricky fixture to traverse, travelling to a cold barren wasteland (but enough about our game at Elland Road Sunday)
Jesus wasn’t in training yesterday, understand was a precaution for concussion. I sincerely hope though that he doesn’t travel to Norway even if it means some malnourished kid from the youth team is on the bench.
Haven’t heard anymore about Ethan Nwaneri since his two minutes of fame against Brentford, does he get a place on the bench this evening.
Could potentially need a win to guarantee top spot if PSV prove to be difficult

Jesus hasn’t travelled so that’s good. Full second string please and if possible hopefully a few of the other big hitters haven’t been dragged out to the North Pole for no reason.
Tricky game, sounds like they are very good at home.

Nah - we got this :good:
I'd still like to see a strong team. It's not easy to win at places like this and topping the group is essential

The trickiest thing tonight is the plastic pitch.

Been watching it all but only just had the chance to be on here.
Slipping away a bit.
Nelson hauled off, Saka went off too.
Xhaka and Martinelli on.

Just read group winners go straight to the last 16, while those who finish 2nd face a playoff against a CL drop out for a place.
Guess that’s the logic behind not totally throwing these games with the reserves. Could definitely do without those extra 2 games.

Yes this is because the Europa league used to be bigger, but a lot of teams that made it into the competition are now in the B team competition The conference league.
This took effect from last season (I think West Ham got an automatic bye into the last 16)
So basically the group runners up get drawn against the 8 third placed teams from the CL group stages and the 8 left go into the last 16 to play the group winners.
I guess we miss these changes when we spend a season out of Europe
