Not sure what the injury situation is like but hopefully a couple are back.

Away from home so that usually means a bit more control and composure and considering Bournemouth haven’t won a game yet we should be confident.

0-2.

As I said elsewhere I don't want Saka near this game and you're right we should have enough to win it

From what I’ve heard no danger of that

Nor seeing Rice, Vieira, Saliba, Martinelli or Trossard (Partey is a given)

What is Arteta doing to these players in training. You can’t even say it’s an issue of not rotating…because it’s only seven weeks in to new season.

If those are all confirmed out

Raya, Kiwior, Gabriel, White, Tomoyasu, Jorginho, Zinchenko, Odegaard, Nelson, Nketiah, Jesus

If none of the injuires are long-term this could be a blessing in disguise, forcing Arteta to use players who should be contributing more anyway - it's happened before - the only reason he even started playing ESR, Saka, Nelson etc was because other players werent available - and even now Nelson doesn't get enough game time

The other two for sure, but Saka was played by Arteta right from the off. He’d been a first teamer since the last couple of months of Good Ebening.

Saka is pretty much the most robust player we have. Looks like the first league game in 2 years that he’s unavailable for.

Ok, if you want to take a contrary view to what’s actually shown in black and white…you do you

ok i just checked it out and the reason for my mistake (yes i made a mistake - try admitting to them it helps) is that i forgot he was at LB during that period rather than his natural position

Whilst it would be very tempting to get into another pointless row, I’m not actually working today so I’d rather go out and enjoy myself

So Nelson still doesn't get a start despite some players being borderline injured and scoring a goal in midweek, fucking joke

This has to be the most in-control in a PL game we've been this season - if we can get another early in the second half it's a good opportunity to make some early subs and give ESR, Nelson etc some game time plus give Saka and Jesus a rest

I've never seen a team be so in control away from home like we are in most matches but total chaos at home.

Seen it plenty of times the other way round.

Just saw Ram looking ultra pissed off in the background- he's so history now - if i was him i'd be asking my agent to get me another gig

Saka down - sub him ffs

Marc Overmars
30-09-2023, 03:40 PM
Saka hobbled off and didn’t look fit apparently.

Might be worth resting him on Tuesday before he breaks down completely.

0-4 FT - good performance, totally controlled the game - exactly what we should be doing to a team like Bournemouth

He still should have made subs earlier though and we could pay the price if Saka's injured

Whilst the win was great, the defending was fucking brilliant. We didn’t give them a sniff. Top top top quality.

Helps us that they have neither De Bruyne or Rodri available. They were clearly missing the latter yesterday
