We need a miracle performance from Luton today
Not happening so far
Spurs unfortunately seem to have quite favourable fixtures up to December when they play City away
On the other hand I think they’ve also been quite fortunate, I think we should have beaten them and if Liverpool had managed to keep 11 players on the pitch they’d have beaten them. Hard to say how telling the wrongly disallowed goal was because they were already down to ten at the time

Luton seemed to have stemmed the flow of Spurs attacks. But they are just too poor in passing and overall possession to lay on any themselves
But Spurs you can see struggle against sides that defend deep.
Average duration of Luton attacks being less than five seconds don’t help
And Kulusevski should have buried that

Maddison free kick, good pace and power but too high
HCZ_Reborn
07-10-2023, 12:10 PM
Ha ha ha Luton contrived to score but miles offside from original free kick

No the penalisation came from a shove on Romero, fuck off…nothing wrong with that

Second for clear dive

Deservedly as well, two yellows….one needless foul and one for being a cheating bastard by diving

1-0 Spurs. Hardly a surprise. Spurs could have nine players and still would have more attacking ability than Luton

Luton have not won a single 50/50 from what I’ve seen
HCZ_Reborn
07-10-2023, 12:53 PM
Luton played onside by spurs, but once again poor first touch means they have to pass out wide and Morris brings off easy save from Vicario at near post
It really shouldn’t go without saying that Spurs have not looked remotely impressive today but they’ve come up against a side that looks non league
Pedro Porro with decent effort that curls just wide
HCZ_Reborn
07-10-2023, 12:59 PM
Ha ha ha ha fuck me Luton are terrible. Spurs are trying their best to be charitable but they just don’t want to take the gift
HCZ_Reborn
07-10-2023, 01:06 PM
Jokes aside I can’t fault Luton. They don’t lack ambition with their play, they are prepared to try and come forward and take shots on, just utterly hopeless. Their only chance of getting back into this, is if a spurs player shits the bed and gives away a pel

Where’s Mac (the one who isn’t a complete arse clown)
It’s neither fair or particularly reasonable (by which I mean neither sensible or responsible) to leave this kind of thing to me
But anyway the drain circulars ahead at home to Bournemouth. Interesting stat that they haven’t scored more than once at home in over a year. That’s a real record of failure

But yeah Ten Hag is fucked.
I half feel sorry for him, because he’s again part victim of a totally toxic dressing room and shoddily run club
But equally fuck him, whinging, excuse making tit!

Lot of reasonably hard to call games today
Still don’t get why Liverpool insist on playing McAllister. A) he’s not that good and B) why buy Gravenberch or Endo if you don’t want a holding player to sit in front of your back line

About right, closely fought contests
Yes I think Liverpool are better than Brighton and Newcastle better than West Ham, but these are tough teams especially with the crowd on their side
Villa again much better than Wolves but a local derby away from home.

To be honest, would take a draw against city now…given Jorginho has started (I like him he’s a decent passer of the ball, but you can’t expect anything good to come from it when he plays against a high pressing team) and Saka
