Brighton have become one of those sides no one wants to play, and given in all competitions we’ve lost three times in a row at home to them. I include ourselves in that, they seem to change up their personnel all the time but as far as I can tell Mitoma is still their key danger man.

Didn’t need this sandwiched between Villa (which I’m still unbelievably fucked off about) and Liverpool.

Fortunately Arteta let up on his policy of playing Saka until he drops dead on the pitch by keeping him on the bench midweek. And Martinelli didn’t even make the journey.

They've been a bit off the boil lately and we ought to win, which ofc means we'll lose

0-3 Ferguson hatter

Definitely need to bounce back here but this is not a fixture that’s been kind to us lately.

17 year old Myles Lewis-Skelly on the bench as Jorginho has a foot injury

Going by pictures in training, the lad needs to lay off the trips to Nandos

Can't be letting a team with Old Man Milner in the starting line-up win.

Sounds like we’re playing very well but shock horror, poor finishing as usual.

The final finish itself isn't the problem, it's the touch before.

Players just aren't putting themselves in the right positions to score from.

Saka is having a "Boss" performance for the first time in ages.

As for our Brazilian attacking pair, they've kept on with their inconsistency.

I just hope this January we go out and get a proper striker or forward as its getting more and more obvious day by day.

Trossard has been crap in the last few games but I still think he deserves to play against his old team.

Either way the end result is the same. We are too blunt in front of goal.
Can you really win the league without a Salah or a Haaland

I’d say you can’t. City did that year when Aguero was in and out of the team but they had elite players all over the pitch and we…don’t.

Someone has to be able to be a bit selfish and do things instinctively, that’s what kills these matches off. We’ve dominated this game but I wouldn’t be shocked at all if there’s an equaliser incoming.

If we had a natural goal scorer in the team I think this league could be ours for the taking, it’s very frustrating.

From the bits I saw (thanks, Wengerbabies, for the stream), I thought Raya was quite good. He wasn’t tested much but his distribution was good.

Apart from when he fumbled a harmless cross and fortunately no one was near him to capitalise on his blunder

This

We played very well but it's obviously unsustainable if we can't convert more of our chances

Havertz' goal was I think his first proper strike, the others have been a pel or bundled in, still a lot to pay for someone but if he can keep his scoring rate up it starts to make sense

Hmm. I didn’t see that bit!
I think we all know that it’s a weakness, we don’t have a properly top ‘keeper.
There was one bit where he bowled the ball out quickly to near the half way line and it got us on the attack quickly. That impressed me.
