So hopefully wins for Southampton, Ipswich (fuck Brighton….cheating players and dickhead coach), Brentford and Forest
That I hope we win goes without saying(or should)
The rest of the fixtures? Don’t care. Oh hang on…you’ve missed Bournemouth-Chelsea. Definitely want a Bournemouth win there

Never liked the Saturday night fixture. Just doesn’t seem right, I don’t especially like Friday night football either. Couldn’t tell you why, I think it’s because I’m a staunch traditionalist (although Friday night football has been a thing forever)

I expect United to win, these are the type of away games that Ten Haag wins in order to save his job
Plus Southampton are dreadful.
Will be a slog for them though, 1-0 or 2-1

I agree. He always finds a result when it is otherwise perilous.

You've got to wait all weekend, and even if you win it's Sunday night, the weekend is over, you've got to have your bath and Heartbeat is about to start.

14-09-2024, 04:00 PM
City unfortunately hold on for all three points despite bit of a late show from Brentford
I fancy if we can keep that freak Haaland quiet then we can get a result
Liverpool’s new languid style proves to be pale imitation of Klopp’s heavy metal football
HCZ_Reborn
14-09-2024, 04:04 PM
Not quite the same as Ipswich getting all three points but they denied those big cheating bastards of Brighton a win
Brighton for me, much better as a counter punching team…their high line was almost punished a couple of times by the tractor boys

Say wha? I said Liverpool were dodgy all along
Tbf i never said they would be champions, just that they might finish above us - certainly a lame performance though judging by the radio commentary

This could be a small slip only who knows, but Bournemouth at home won’t be easy (they are like forest unbeaten so far, and I think they will remain so after their home game against Chelsea tonight). But the Dutchman has big shoes to fill, we can talk about feeling annoyed about losing out on the title with 89 points but Liverpool lost out in 2019 with 97 points and 2022 with 94. I think that frustration is part of the reason Klopp left…he was the driving force behind that Liverpool team and I certainly didn’t buy into that claim that the players didn’t like the intensity of style of play…they went to war for that odd looking German.

Not a popular sentiment on here I know, but hope Everton beat Villa. I like Good Ebening but they basically fucked the title for us last season and I don’t forgive easily.
I’d like Everton to stay up as well (another unpopular sentiment ) but only after Throat cancer Boy gets sacked. I really hate that guy, remember about five years ago his army of orcs came to play us when he was still managing Burnley and the pride he took in their vicious thuggish behaviour…and then has the temerity of accusing our players of diving.

Whatever it means for us i really want Villa to beat Neverton, it's about time that miserable club got sent out of the PL
HCZ_Reborn
14-09-2024, 04:42 PM
Watched the little match highlight clips that Sky Sports produce for Liverpool-Forest and again can’t really get a feel for a game from three minute segment but Forest didn’t look that great at all, far more about Liverpool being a bit low energy.

Don’t think it really means anything for us, even if we lose or draw tomorrow and Villa are above us in the table…I certainly wouldn’t expect that to be the case next May. But either way it’s most likely a forlorn hope on my part, as Everton have managed to get two points from Villa from a possible thirty since Villa were last promoted….and have lost every game at Villa Park in that time

 McNeil puts Everton in front
HCZ_Reborn
14-09-2024, 04:51 PM
Bit of controversy over the goal, involving fittingly Amadou Onana. He is caught in possession by Dwight McNeil, and Onana rolling on the floor like a big girl’s blouse wants a foul
