Haven't done one of these for a while.
Referees deciding when to apply laws of the game and when they don't is absolutely fucking ridiculous.
Anyway, some performance to come away with something.
I think Trossard only misses the Bolton game right?
How Haaland avoided a cumulative red too, such a mystery.

Its clear everyone has been bought in this league. I mean it takes the league 4 years to bring simple charges against Citeh that are as clear as day, while Leicester's only took like 4 months or so !!
Just seen it somewhere (not sure it was here) that Oliver has lucrative summer engagements in the Middle East. Should this be allowed??!
Its ridiculous that we've faced this hostility unchecked for almost 3 decades both nationally and internationally and even the media backs this up with a narrative of us being *******s and bad sports....something every so called big club gets away with but not us!

What's the point of this.
The ref ensured Raya would end up Man of the match.
Partey created like 3 or 4 great chances for Citeh and was clearly the worst player on the pitch.
At the end of the day all the players can still hold their heads up high seeing as they played against the whole world and still managed to get a draw.

Raya - 7.5 - Nothing he could do about either goal, made two good saves when City were pressing us in our own box
Timber - 7 - Solid
Saliba - 7 - Also Solid
Gabriel - 8 - Another great set piece moment, despite Walker digging him in the ribs
Calafiori - 7 - Got caught too far forward at times in the first half (but I guess that’s part of his role) how anyone can say that was anything but a clear shot on goal I do not know.
Rice 6.5 - Never had the opportunity to impose himself on the game
Partey 7 - Niggly at times, but seems to like these roll your sleeves up games
Trossard 5 - Silly to kick the ball like that when on a yellow, as unfair and petty as it is. Though I suspect Oliver would have sent him off anyway for the high crime of stopping a city break
Martinelli 6 - No real chance to demonstrate much, though got himself an assist
Saka 7 - Equally no chance to really prove much, though I think his corner taking is excellent
Havertz 6.5 - Worked hard (as he generally does) but not much to show from it
It’s hard to comment on a game where a referee has so unduly influenced it, there are probably two things to say…as much as without Oliver’s influence we could and probably would have won but without Rodri I think City would not have given away their lead…he really is something special and so hopefully he’s out for some considerable time.
A city team without De Bruyne and without Rodri is beatable.
From our perspective, we didn’t panic….yes we gave them the ball a few times and had to bailed out by Raya but they were pressing us in our own six yard box and we had absolutely zero attacking outlet.
This is not a discussion for today because I don’t think it’s that germane to today’s game but we do need to address the balance between defence and attack. I think there’s an element that we are doing so with Calafiori who gets forward like Zinchenko but is far less of a defensive liability.

Anyway, my initial thoughts - having not seen it - is that this is a terrific result in a game where the card was very much stacked against us - whether by incompetence or corruption isn't relevant, it's clear that the ref was doing his best to stop us winning, which he succeeded in doing. Away games vs Villa, Spurs and City already done and it's 7 points out of nine. We've only failed to win 2 league games and both times the ref intervened to stop us. So far, so good.

Something similar happened in the Tottenham game, where they mentioned we broke our record for fewest passes ever completed in a half or something like that.... anyway letting it slide for this game seeing as it was 10 men against the whole establishment...I mean who could have guessed that issuing frivolous red cards would be the new way of fixing games ???

7 points from 3 of the toughest away games we’ll have all season is a great showing.
It was an incredible effort but sometimes football is a sickener. I think the way Man City celebrated that draw shows they have a lot of respect for us.
On we go, some kinder fixtures to come now thankfully.

Apparently Arsenal's cheating just isn't on. Ask the Daily Mail and Roy Keane. Poor old gypos, they were robbed. Projection is one of the most common weapons in the modern world. When you get caught red-handed, accuse the one who caught you of doing what you just did. Then pay your friends to sing the chorus.
Main thing about this game? We've faced it all before during the Utd era and the boys weren't afraid of those rotten cunts, In fact they stood right in their faces and punched harder, and the shits cried all the way home when their bullshit was shoved back in their faces.
Now we have the cash fuelled equivalent with the chequebook out and the refs and officials shamelessly bent over. But the one thing they seem to have missed...
They are treating the result, the cash team with every advantage bought and stacked up, are treating a 2-2, last minute draw in their own shithole as a win.
Something subtle has shifted. It's not us who go there scared, it's they who fear our arrival.
We have these fuckers beat and we've done it using football, not credit cards.

'We're not happy as we wanted the three points, but I'm happy with the way we came to play. I'm glad we always enter the pitch to try to win every match. It all started in the very first seconds.
'We had a player injured (Rodri) after they sent him to the ground twice in 10 minutes.
'We had a goal conceded after the referee called our captain and then didn't allow him to recover his position. The second goal is their usual block to our keeper, allowed by the referee.
'And then the referee allowed a sequence of time-wasting events. The thing that bothers me the most is having a lot of meetings with the FA at the beginning of each season.
Yeah, I bet you do. Whole season is made by those meetings, no doubt.
Rodri is one of the most despicable cheats ever to disgrace the game. Only topped by the other ten bastards who take to the pitch with him. And the bald cunt who made a legend out of chequebook abuse.

You know those stupid sayings seeded by the media which morons pick up and trot out ad infinitum thereafter?
"Not fit for purpose", "Lessons learned", "Following The Science(TM)"
"Arsenal dark arts", seems to be the new one, after we cheated the gypos out of a serious beating and into a late 2-2 scrambled draw at their own shithole.
All the gypsies who rolled their caravans up for the match are moaning and crying about how they were robbed by Voldemort Arteta and his anti-muggle tendencies.
It's fucking hilarious to listen to them. Don't get too close though or they'll have your hubcaps and TV lifted before you can blink.

So in the cold light of day and after my horrendous night of tossing and turning in bed over the result, the thing that really annoyed me and I still don't understand why is:
Jesus bring the ball back to our corner flag on 96 mins instead of just booting it upfield when he had plenty of opportunity to do so ?!?
That is what ultimately lead to their goal.

That whole speech from Pep made me laugh, sent Rodri to the ground twice in 10 mins...?? the first one was a joke, Havertz bodied him a bit from kick off and he collapsed like a house of cards & there was little contact on him the second time.
I see no one mentioned the through the legs take down of Havertz when he broke on the right near Peps dugout, I think it was from Doku - he didn't even touch the ball but obviously no foul given from the Lino or Olivecunt.

Exactly, if you kick the ball half a second after the whistle goes that’s kind of muscle memory….doesn't excuse it but you have to be looking to give it. Plus even if he hadn’t, Oliver would have given him a second yellow for stopping City attack. He was determined to earn his holiday suite in Rixos Marina

Sky has already shown that he had started the action of kicking the ball ( by the way its clear now that it was a pass) before the ref blew the whistle. Is he suppose to wait before acting because he thinks he might have commited a foul....aren't you suppose to play to the whistle anymore?
The thing is anyone who has played the game at any competitive level knows you should be 100% sure when you want to alter a game and send a player off. The idiots who were pros and now media pundits are the ones who disappoint me the most, defending the indefensible.

Hmmm not sure it was a pass, pretty fucking terrible pass if so as it’s shanked out of play. But if it’s a booking a fraction of a second after the whistle it’s a booking when it’s brazen like with Jeremy Doku

Disagree, it was a decent attempt and did not go out of play. Also Martinelli was in miles of space, a bit similar to catching them out with Walker.
The stills also prove that he had started the action before the whistle. But here's another analysis from them on that.

I don't think it was a pass, as Merse said, he would have just side footed it, not hoofed it.
But one could argue he was just trying to clear his lines, and that the gap between whistle and him starting to boot it was small enough that he couldn't have reasonably stopped.
But...whatever. It's clear they were cheating in any way they could to beat us. And they still couldn't.
There's something different about this team, City know they've got a real fight on their hands if they're going to buy another title.

The only thing I will say is that we know we are clearly being targeted for 'delaying the restart' whereas the rest of the prem are getting a free pass (I haven't heard of any other player being booked for this so far this season?)
so we HAVE to start being more careful in these situations. Stop giving refs who are looking for every opportunity to punish us, an excuse to punish us.
Also, I'm not a massive fan of all the timewasting. White does it often with his throw ins and there's bits here and there that we do.
I like the shit-housery, but timewasting isn't what I class as that and really pisses me off as it's unnecessary. We are a good enough team to beat everyone else without resorting to those low ball tactics and yesterday we came unstuck from it.
Raya and Timber both went down in added time, just before a restart was going to take place and that time was added on to the end of the game which is when they scored.
Also I still cannot forgive Jesus for inviting danger when he didn't need to.
Sure take the ball to the corner and keep it there - but you do that at the other end of the pitch, not your fucking own!!

Now we don’t and it’s all “Waah! Siiir! Arsenal are cheating!”
Yes we are. But no worse than you fuckers have been doing for years. So…

The other Premier League clubs took Peter Hill-Wood's advice of sending a letter.

Arsenal being masters of the dark arts is hilarious and a tag that is so far removed from what we previously were for 20 years.
Long may it continue.

Thing is I don't think what we do is cheating
Ok so White and others mess about a bit but it's not actually cheating
Nor is it violent conduct, as it is when someone lands with their hand on Havertz's throat and gets away with it, or when Saka is routinely kicked

I agree, it’s the biggest fucking cheek since Throat Cancer boy starting complaining about our players diving, because apparently we should have taken them kicking lumps out of us with a stiff upper lip

Apparently a number of clubs have written to the PGMOL complaining about our use of 'the dark arts' at set pieces etc, now.
Fucking laughable.
We were called weak & spineless for so long, now we are hard as nails scrotes - they can't handle it!

Literally every other club does it and has for years.

Dermot Gallagher defending Michael Oliver is like Gary Glitter defending Hew Edwards.
Or is this the wrong thread
No, they all do it.

Rodri has done his ACL and will probably miss the rest of the season.
Shame. :coffee:
Good riddance to a thoroughly rotten cunt. Excellent player. Tragic human being.
