Out of interest, do you think all football should be free to air? I'd suggest that would massively affect attendances.
You're not "locked out", you can go to games or pay for the appropriate subscription service.
I mean, don't get me wrong I lament the amount of money sloshing around in football as much as you do. And there are definitely too many subscriptions you need to have if you want to watch games. But I don't think we have any divine right to watch for free. That certainly wasn't the case in the golden age of football which you look back on with misty-eyed (and rose-tinted, in my view) nostalgia. Back then almost none of it was on TV, you either went along or listened on the radio if it was on, which if often wasn't in which case you waited for the Vidiprinter.
