Palace 1-0 Brighton, Mateta.
Feels to me that a lot of Brighton players who have shown promise have fizzled out somewhat
Mitoma, Minteh, Baleba, Pedro, Adingra
Coach is also an arrogant Austrian ringpiece

Ipswich 1-0 Wolves Delap
Now actually there’s a striker who I think would be worth going for. Don’t get me wrong I think we should try and sign Isaak or Sesko as well. But he’s been fantastic for Ipswich this season

I think they were probably going down even if they’d won truth be told
With the players Wolves have they shouldn’t even be in relegation trouble

Interesting battle for the European spots.
The only interesting thing about this season.
There’s been no title race and no relegation battle.
Even Sky must be struggling to make any of this sound interesting

It's whether the slip ups even matter at this stage.

You’ve had no credible challenge all season so I’m not really surprised the players may be tuning out a little bit now. Title done and the cups gone, it’s time for the beach.

Yeah fuck em basically..I'm just sad we will probably get Sheffield United in exchange and possibly Burnley too.

I can’t say I know too much about what tactics Southampton employ. The main issue seems to be that most of their players aren’t premier league standard.
They have a couple of youngsters that might break through in time and Ramsdale I think will get another premier league club (though if he’s smart he will avoid one of the newly promoted clubs for 25/26….as I think we are likely to enter an era of clubs getting promoted and going straight back down….especially if Burnley and Sheffield United get promoted again)
Leicester…they have a couple of premier league level players but the fact that 38 year old Vardy plays week in week out is telling. Simply don’t have the money to buy themselves a team that can sustain itself in the league.
Ipswich are the Luton of last season, I think ultimately just don’t have it in them….i think Delap will be sold (and I’d like it tif be to us)

I wonder if this will be the pattern for the next few years, the same shite clubs coming up and going straight back down. Not good enough for the Premier League but rich enough, and too good for the Championship.
A Super League in all but name.

Burnley and Sheffield United are yo yo clubs (a bit like Norwich and West Brom in the recent history past) too good for the championship, not good enough for the premier league (the gap between the two divisions which I think has been intensified by FSR is bigger than it’s ever been.
For me there are 17 premier league clubs of varying quality that on their day are capable of giving any other team real problems, and there are three teams that are fodder for goal difference…I sadly don’t see that changing next season

It’s definitely something I’m worried about. I’m a bit sad that Leeds have dropped off because a) quite like Leeds despite their deserved reputation from the 70s of being scrotes and b) I think they are more likely to survive in the premier league than Sheffield United or Burnley

Who is the coach is largely window dressing. I think it can be argued that if they retained that Gargoyle Cooper they’d be doing better than they are, doing well enough to avoid relegation ? Nah
Ultimately even if we try and cite the “Alchemy” job Moyes has done with Everton, the question then becomes well actually doesn’t Everton always go on a small run of results that keeps their head above water and Moyes is generally in and around what throat cancer boy was achieving earlier on in the season, not winning many games but not losing many games. Still one of the leagues lowest goalscorers
The fact is player for player - Leicester, Southampton and Ipswich are the weakest teams in the league. Is it conceivable one of them could have stayed up? For sure but it would have been a miracle job up there with Bradford managing to stay up for two seasons 25 years ago
