Hopefully wins for Everton, Villa, Leicester, Fulham and as much as I hate to say it Spurs (although a draw would be fine)

Looking at the fixtures, two wins for Villa actually or a win and a draw

Title was over moment Havertz and Martinelli were injured

I don’t think we would have won the title anyway but we could have at least taken it to the wire

Everything has gone wrong for us this season in the league but we’ve lost only three times and at the point where we are almost certain to finish 2nd.

Unless we win the European cup I will not look back upon this season with much fondness overall, there have been some enjoyable individual moments but the whole thing has felt like a bit of a farce

Agreed on all points.
I was a bit later to throw in the towel than some - I’m the eternal optimist and you never really know in football. But yeah, nothing has gone for us this season and the whole season has felt like a slog.
Arteta has made us hard to beat and that has served us well in the CL. But we have drawn far too many for a credible title challenge.

HCZ_Reborn

In European football, our vanquished 1/4 final opponents managed to get a last minute win at home to Athletic Bilbao, who like us seem to draw loads of their games. Vini jnr scored in the 80th minute but VAR chalked it off, Federico Valverde managed to bag the eventual winner in injury time

PSG who I think are already champions got a 2-1 home win over Le Havre

And given the problem we’ve had breaking teams down 11 vs 11, probably the smart move on his part to settle for a point so early on in the season.

But then it wouldn’t have been necessary, if Chris Kavanagh hadn’t “interpreted” that Dutch turd Veltman kicking the ball at Rice and then scything him down, an offence so heinous that he needed to send someone off for it…that someone being the player who was fouled.

It’s been a horribly forgettable season and only an improbable CL win would turn this into something else.

No, you try to win every game, whenever it is, Guardiola and Klopp wouldn't have done that

Well hopefully next season Arteta would have solved that problem but until we actually sign a top class striker and not another winger who can play up front.

More importantly, Enfield Town lost today and St Albans won. Which puts St Albans 3 points behind Enfield with 1 game to play. The significance being St Albans are in the drop zone and Enfield have crawled out of it. Last day of the season this weekend.
Enfield at home against a side who are chasing the title, but St Albans are away at Truro who are top and need to win to seal the title.

So…
