It's actually quite good timing for us, as it allows us to give him maybe an hour against Bayern and to rest some key players if we choose to, but without being accused of fielding a weakened side and throwing the tie...

You can pretty much correlate Ramsey's drop off in form and subsequent injury to the teams overall downturn.

My concern is that with only 10 matches to go (maybe only 8/9 for him) there's little time for him to get back to full match fitness and make a real difference.

Better that than not having him at all, especially with Wilshere's sudden case of death.

True...but I hope people don't expect miracles from him.

Hopefully he'll get back to speed instantly and score 30 goals in his first game or he'll have the fans all over him.

Yeh I think 10 is reasonable.
Anymore than that is just unrealistic.
Until the next game he plays in
Think we should bring him back slowly, no point sticking him in the deep end, the CL is gone the league is gone IMO that leaves the FA Cup, if we can get him fit for the final that would be great.

Bring him back as slowly as necessary regardless as we don't want any set backs. We still have a top 4 place to secure too.

He wont be playing again this season. Wenger announced that he is out for a further two weeks. :rose:
We have the most injury prone players in the league!
Well done Arsene for not buying in January and for not taking a closer look at out inept Medical Team. This is not just coincidence. <_<

Ramsey just signed a new contract, hopefully he'll not go all Diaby on us... But probably a smart move before the silly money clubs would come in and swoop him.

Ye i think so too... He was probably on 40k +/- a week, could imagine that figure is atleast doubled to secure him staying here.

No news is normally bad news at Arsenal. Fingers crossed he'll be back soon...though I have a nagging feeling he's done for the season.

Our crappy medical staff and/or training routines, this happens every season with 1 or 2 of our key players.

Judging by the lack of news I wouldn't be surprised if Ozil, Jack & Kos are all done for the season too.
Time to get the Horse Placenta out this summer to fix up our crocks.

This is another area of massive underperformance that seems to go on year after year, never acknowledged, never addressed, never resolved.
It's cost us at least one trophy in recent years, I've absolutely no doubt - as much a problem as Wenger's tactical brain farts in terms of holding us back.
Ramsey was great but overplayed. He was fading before this injury and we need more than 1 or 2 players to hit form for a few weeks to sustain a credible title challenge.

Well he was our best player so naturally he's going to play most games. I do wonder if we would have put up a better fight for this run in with him around.
Fucking injuries. Every bloody season and it's always the one guy you need the most.

Players will get injuries, that is always going to happen but for him to have two setbacks is not a great indicator of our aftercare doing the best it should be.
We really, really need him back.

That's part of it though. Ramsey, like our team in general this season was overstretched. Strong squads would be able to find another matchwinner. We struggle to.

TBF Theo, Ozil and Jack are all capable of winning matches and scoring important goals so we've missed them as well.

I would say we've missed Ozil a fair bit too.
Goes very unnoticed what he has done in his first season.
And a fit Diaby (LOL) is a very good player. Yeah, I know he's never going to be fit, but still.....he's fuckin awesome when fit.

Ozil has been hit and miss for me. Barring the Napoli game, I did not see a whole lot where I see his influence in games. Like you said, may be he goes unnoticed but for his first season he has been good. No where near the impact a lot of us expected though.
Disagree on Abu Dhabi.. when fit and when in mood, he is a world beater but I can remember games he has played where he has looked like a passenger throughout.

Along with Eduardo, one of the saddest and biggest waste of talent i have seen through a nasty injury.
Both could have been truly world class....Diaby in particular could have been a great.

Fairly long Ramsey article, quite a good read:
http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/may/03/aaron-ramsey-arsenal
A few lines from it:
when the conversation turns to Piers Morgan and whether the Welshman has ever bumped into the man who described him as "a complete and utter liability" 18 months ago. After a long pause Ramsey replies: "Who's Piers Morgan?"
When Ramsey was fighting the mental demons that followed his comeback from fracturing his fibula and tibia at Stoke four years ago, and the naysayers, including some Arsenal fans, were losing patience, Wenger stayed loyal and was remarkably supportive. "The manager had loads of chats with me about it and always said: 'Never let it get to you, because I know what you can do,'" Ramsey says. "I'm grateful for what he's done for me and for the faith that he's had in me.
"Even when I was injured he gave me a new contract. Through the criticism he played me. He's always believed in me and I can't thank him enough for that. I owe a lot to him and hopefully I've delivered some of that back this season."
At the same time he could be forgiven for occasionally glancing in the direction of his Wales team-mate Gareth Bale, who is flourishing in Spain, and wondering about the possibility of playing overseas, for a club such as Real Madrid or Barcelona, at some point in his career. "I have unfinished business at Arsenal first but maybe one day, when the time is right, I'd fancy that," Ramsey says. "One of those two teams is quite mouthwatering."
Big bid for him and he's gone  Fuck off Barca/Real

Tbh I'd question the sanity of a player if they turned down the chance to play for Barca or RM. I mean they're on another level to every club in the world when it comes to size and prestige.
We'll get a few more years outta him though. Project Youth
